RELATED SKILLS
My skills include knowledge of how to Hang and take down shows in a gallery
and museum setting. I have done work in graphic design for the opening of
shows where I had to work with a team and problem solve the best solutions
for the postcards we were sending out. This required the use of leadership
as well as the ability to listen to what other members required. I have
also done jobs with graphic design that include designing billboards,
letterheads, business cards and I am quick to learn. I also contain a
wealth of knowledge from working in the jewelry studio on campus in the use
of acetylene torches, sanders, grinders, band saws, etching materials and
acids, casting materials, hammering, filing, sawing, sanding and have
developed a very detail oriented eye. I have worked with programs such as
Word, Excel, Photoshop cs3 and cs4 and use illustrator frequently.
ACTIVITIES & ACHIEVMENTS
I have been in two clubs during my college career, most currently I was
part of the Fencing club at HSU. For about two years now I have been part
of the Jewelry and Small Metals club. I am very sad to be moving on from
these clubs because they brought life to the campus for me.
Recent Achievements have included being picked to be in the student show at
HSU for 2010 and I received third place in the jewelry exhibit for my
piece's entitled: "Cosmic Background Radiation."
I also recently was in a student show in Yuma, Arizona, during a Symposium.
My piece was entitled the: "Bull Ring."
VOLUNTEERING
I recently volunteered for the fencing club in order to raise money for
this organization. My job was to work security at a basket ball game on
campus for the high school tournament in this area. I also have
volunteered a number of times for the Jewelry Club Quad Sales, and other
sales our club has around town. In high school I used to do volunteering
for the Los Osos girls soccer league and was a coach and assistant coach
for my little sister's soccer team for three years.
