In another fast-paced and project intensive company I came in to develop
subject matter expertise and use my talent in securities systems business
to analyze and support various applications development and enhancements
for the Master Security Database (MSD) Online and Batch. I helped to
greatly improve system flexibility that benefited over sixty(60) core
systems. Acting as Business Analyst I assisted in requirements analysis,
designing, coding for many financial systems initiatives. I also utilized
my experience with Systems Documentation for a wide range of processes for
MSD. I was able to cut costs by functioning as a "go-to" User Support
resource by cross referencing and analyzing gathered data to present to
management via Excel Spreadsheets and Easytrieve. Major system enhancements
I was involved with were migrated to production after regression testing by
fifty+ (50) systems with zero defects.

Designed critical Securities Database System under an extremely tight
schedule enabling Prudential Financial (owned by Wachovia Banking) to de-
couple from Prudential Securities and become self-sustaining; This involved
Design, Business Process Engineering with Functional/Data Flowcharts,
specifications, and dissemination of assignments to respective coding
specialists, coding various elements, testing and implementation. I also
functioned as liaison to outside vendors to secure contracts for security
data feeds. I used my experience and knowledge to analyze specifications
and requirements for Mainframe and Online applications.
Reviewed test results and disseminated corrections, updates and performed
parallel testing. Liaison to Senior Management concerned with translating
business needs into system functions, ensuring the design and applications
of the Security Database "SDB" System met their requirements. Provided
technical and business support to team members.
Liaison to secure contracts with Vendors supplying data to the system.
Interpreted their Data (Fixed income and Capital Markets/Equities)

fourteen (14) years at Prudential to advance from Junior Programmer to VP
Information Systems group. The Securities Database area was yet another
fast-paced and results oriented environment. I was a major contributing
resource for Co-Designing a VB/Mainframe (CICS/COBOL) Desktop application
that exposed critical Security Data (Fixed Income, Capital Markets
Equities), to a broad user base and simplified the daily work routine for
the Securities Database user area. I added value through my involvement in
all aspects of Business Process Engineering using Functional/Data Flows,
Specifications, requirements and dissemination of assignments to the team.
As Liaison to Pricing Department I translated business needs into system
functions, ensuring the desktop hardware could support the new
Applications. Provided training to enable use of the new System in daily
work routines.
