Optical Polyurethane-urea Film for Liquid Crystal Displays (2006 - 2010)
Innovations of optical polyurethane-urea film and optically clear
adhesives. (Three US Patents pending.)
. Developed the first 2K polyurethane-urea film by solvent casting
process, and successfully cast the optical film on the production line
of a film manufacturer.
. Synthesized polyurethane prepolymers based on Trivex( resin chemistry
to reduce curing time of the film and extend pot life of dope
solution.
. Investigated a unique process for thickening dope solution.
. Developed a measurement method for investigation of dimensional
stability of the film.
Adhesives for Polarizer (2007 - 2009)
. Adhesive for lamination of polyurethane film and PVA polarizer

EcoBrite( Product Development - Organic Coatings for Decoration of Glass
Bottles (2000 - 2006)
Hot-melt ink innovations leading to the first commercial multi-color,
screen-print epoxy-based organic coatings for glass bottles
(US Patent 7157119 and 6214412 issued, one additional patents pending,
several Trade Secrets recognized by PPG)
. Integral role in creating the new EcoBrite product line; this new
business in a new market area was commercialized.
. Initiated integration of specialized glass particles into an organic
polymeric matrix, resulting in a composite with optimized performance

. New catalyst for synthesis of hydroxyalkyl methacrylates (PPG Trade

Group and the product was sold to Merck Pharmaceuticals.
. Developed non-PIBSA type emulsifiers for emulsion explosive. The
