Production / Quality Supervisor
Promoted to supervise production and quality at Ecolab's 200,000 sq. ft.
Hebron specialty manufacturing facility, producing 135 million pounds/year
(representing 12% of total production in the U.S.). Selected, trained,
developed, managed, and retained a diversified team of 25 mixers, packaging
associates and material handlers to achieve the manufacturing plan, meeting
quality and cost objectives while maintaining a safe work environment.
. Earned Ecolab's CEO Award for "truly exceptional performance" and
"delivery of significant results" through "spirit, pride,
determination, commitment, passion and integrity."
. Managed conversion of $600,000 of non-saleable product to saleable
status by monitoring the daily hold report and assigning labor to
rework the product during low peak production periods.
. Implemented Kaizen / Lean Six Sigma event that increased and sustained
output on one production line by 15% and improved department
productivity by 10% YOY through changes in goal board metrics.

in 2007) beating a budgeted 0.58% for 2008. Trained staff, audited

. Trained, mentored, and led a talented team of associates, two of whom
received "Plant Employee of the Year" awards.
. Planned daily and weekly workflow and directed associates to achieve a
4.6% improvement in cost/pound (from $0.06215 in 2007 to $0.05931 in
2008). This exceeded budget by 4.7%.
Grace-Lee Products, Inc. - Maumee, OH 1982 to 1998
Global leader in cleaning products and supplies for automotive, restaurant,
hospitality, commercial and industrial markets. The specialty chemical
business of Grace-Lee Products, Inc. was acquired by Ecolab in December
1997 and the plant was closed in June 1998.
Plant Supervisor/General Manager
Successfully managed daily operations of a 15,000 sq. ft. specialty
chemical facility generating $ 7.8 million in sales (50% of total
revenues), with responsibility for all production, planning and control
functions; inventory control; purchasing; logistics; quality control; and
maintenance. Hired, trained and managed a team of 10 employees, with an
annual payroll budget of $350,000.
. Opened the first satellite production facility for Grace-Lee Products
in Maumee, OH, and, after 5 years, located a new property, organized
and moved the operation to new site to support business growth. The
operation supported monthly growth from $80,000 to $650,000.
. Led the successful Maumee, Ohio operation which resulted in 9
additional warehouses in the U.S.
. Designed a production and transportation plan for company trucks to
service 350 car washes in Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and New York
resulting in 99+% on-time delivery; also coordinated LTL and TL
shipments to various parts of U.S.
. Spearheaded operation expansion to Chicago. Hired a warehouse
supervisor and secured space and transportation, yielding additional
sales of $2.5 million to company's gross income within 6 years.
. Earned 1997 President's Achievement Award for excellent service to the
