RELEVENT PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
Supervision
. Coordinated sample motor testing schedules with the responsible design
engineer, prototype shop, and/or manufacturing floor to ensure on-time
delivery [ECOH].
. Coordinated daily workload of 8 employees over 3 shifts to ensure on-
time delivery of quality electronic assemblies [TEK].
. Managed test equipment development efforts. Generated cost proposals
to estimate the labor and materials necessary to assemble the test
equipment required to validate the device under test performance.
Developed production test plans and equipment delivery dates to be
used by manufacturing in preparing assembly schedules. Monitored
funding expenditures and performance status to anticipate possible
schedule impact. Coordinated resources and distributed workload in
order to meet production deadlines [NAWC].
Test Development
. Designed and fabricated electrical test equipment to interface with
sample motor products for performance testing [ECOH].
. Generated software using QBasic and LabView to automate test
procedures for repeatable, complex, and/or extended duration motor
performance testing [ECOH].
. Performed both automated and manual test procedures for validation of
sample motor performance [ECOH].
. Wrote test reports documenting electrical and mechanical test
configurations, test results, conclusions, and recommendations [ECOH].
. Developed in-circuit test programs to verify that electronic
assemblies were manufactured without defects. Identified source of
failures using the in-circuit test programs and auxiliary
troubleshooting equipment [NAWC].
. Designed custom analog/digital circuits using OrCAD to simulate the
inputs in which the device under test would interface with in its
application. Interfaced with electronic technicians to ensure that
the build process was completed within budget and schedule constraints
[NAWC].
. Developed "turn-key" software using HPBasic, Fortran, and C to control
IEEE-488 compatible commercial equipment for measurement of device
under test outputs of complicated or repetitive procedures [NAWC].
. Wrote technical manuals to instruct test operators in the operation of
the test equipment configurations, software, and devices under test
[NAWC].
New Product Design/Development
. Implemented engineering design changes to improve motor performance,
quality, and/or manufacturability [ECOH].
. Designed application-specific motor products to fulfill customer
needs. Interfaced with prototype and/or production assembly personnel
to ensure that drawings and routings were complete and accurate.
Created circuit card assembly designs using OrCAD [ECOH].
. Wrote test requirements documents for electronic assemblies to specify
input and output signal characteristics [NAWC].
. Modified the microprocessor imbedded firmware of an existing weapons
control system for utilization in other combat roles [NAWC].
