filtration equipment.
. Developed and implemented process improvements to the operation of the
filters and the operator interface.
. Supervised piping and electrical contractors during installation of
centralized filtration equipment.
. Conducted electrical, mechanical, and control system quality control
tests of equipment. Developed and coordinated changes/repairs to
system to correct deficiencies.
. Troubleshot and implemented mechanical and electrical repairs to
equipment at customer sites.
. Designed and conducted operator and maintenance training classes.

MN
Sr. Field Systems Engineer Louisville,
KY (5/99 - 11/06)
. Provided DCS configuration assistance for Silberline, International
Paper, Dow Chemical, and Lehigh Cement, by designing and implementing
process changes in the control system.
. Provided start-up assistance for Air Products at two different
locations. This included initial installation, commissioning, and
ramp-up of process into production.
. Principle field engineer for one of the largest batch chemical
customers in the nation. This included providing technical assistance
for hardware and/or software changes, troubleshooting conflicts or
problems in batch recipes and logic, and ensuring the control system
continued in excellent working order.
. Performed configuration additions and changes for customers in the
bourbon distillery, chemical, pharmaceutical, and power industries.
These changes range from automating complete systems from all manual
equipment, to adding a new loop to the process. Some additions have
included marking up loop diagrams, supervising wiring changes and
module additions, loop checkout, and testing.
. Upgraded systems in FDA validated pharmaceutical plants.
. Converted entire HMI applications chemical plant and a power plant
from outdated software.
. Provided startup and shutdown assistance for large plants where on-
stream time is critical. Also provided on-site technical assistance
during periods of major changes or system upgrades.
. Tuned non-steady state reaction loops for a chemical plant. All loops
were interdependent, with highly varying reaction rates. This
resulted in 15% increase in reactor throughput.
. Reviewed customer's systems, maintaining them at a high level of
efficiency and effectiveness. This included analyzing base level
communications and system messages to root out potential situations
before they rose to be problems.
