to implement a Quality and Training system to assure a Quality and Safe product for

Total Quality Improvement Manager, Continuous Improvement implementation

associates and reduce cost of Quality and manufacturing.

Accomplishments:

Increased profitability by $300K in sales margins. Negotiated new system and contract for

waste removal. Realized $65K in waste payments.

2003 – 2007– Poore Brothers Inc. Bluffton In

Technical Manager over Quality, Sanitation and Engineering.

Management representative for American Institute of Bakers certification.

Certified in Food Safety Sanitation and HACCP (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point) and

FDA labeling guidelines. Manager of all Quality and Sanitation functions. Manager over

Engineering functions. Managed Quality for all suppliers and co-packers. Audited and

made recommendations for all suppliers and co-packers.

Accomplishments: Rewrote all procedures and work instructions for facility. Obtained a

Superior AIB (American Institute of Baking) rating for three years in a row, 2005, 2006,

and 2007. Instituted a Corrective and Preventive Action procedure. Instituted a Food

Safety Committee to include supervisory and production associates. Instituted and taught

Problem Solving for all associates.

2000 - 2003 - Tokheim Corporation, Ft. Wayne In

Quality Manager and Six Sigma Coordinator over four facilities. ISO auditor, ISO-9001

management representative. Master Black Belt over 3 fulltime and 7 part time Black Belts

and 6 Green Belts. Completed and mentored projects worth in excess of $2.5 million.

Restructured and implemented new Six Sigma / Lean program. Instituted a Supplier

Quality program and Customer Complaint procedure.

Accomplishments: Black Belt project, Reduction of leaks in meter assembly area. Final

report, Reduction of defects from 14% to 3%, Elimination of 6 tester personnel and 8 test

machines. Total cost reduction of $374K

Black Belt project, Increase capability of RDN (return disposition notice) process.

Nonconforming material returned to supplier. Realized a one time credit of $490K back to

Tokheim for nonconforming material from a number of suppliers. Black Belt project, Test

time reduction at CDT (computerized dispenser tester), reduction of defects going into test

and test time reductions. Realized to date, $500K. Black Belt project, order accuracy.

Reduction of in line changes due to defects in order process. Cost avoidance of $1Million.

1997 - 2000 - Guardian Industries, Auburn, IN - Quality Engineer/Gage Engineer in

charge of all gages, design procurement calibration. Director of Gage Training, Q.S./

9000 Element Coordinator and auditor, Six Sigma Black Belt Process Control Member of

Guardian Automotive Excellence Team for glass bending and gages.

Accomplishments: Black Belt project, GMT 800 Windsheild, Capability of and reduction

of defects in the bending of the glass. Increased box to box yield resulted in an increase in

revenue of $1.4 million per year in a 7 year contract with GM.

1987 - 1997 - Tokheim Corporation, Ft. Wayne, IN

1996 - 1997 -Manager of Maintenance, toolroom, tool crib and grinding room with a

total of 55 employees on three shifts. Total Productive Maintenance Coordinator,

Suggestion Team Leader, Emergency Response Team Leader. Handled all budgets and

purchasing functions of all these areas.

Accomplishments: Instituted a self-directed workforce program in a union environment.

Group leaders of skilled trades scheduled and prioritized and directed their own work.

1994 - 1996 - Manager of Tool Room, Toolcrib and grinding room with 26 employees

on three shifts. Handled all purchasing of perishable tools and factory supplies. Carried

one million dollars of inventory in crib and was responsible for the monthly and yearly

budgets for these areas. Supervisor of Maintenance, Director of Implementation T.P.M.

and Director of Prime Sourcing in the Tool Crib.

Accomplishments: Primed sourced the tool crib at a yearly savings of $144K.

1992 - 1994 - Final Assembly Supervisor in charge of premier gas pump line.

Accomplishments: was responsible for a 30% increase in productivity and efficiency

trained new assembly supervisors.

1987 - 1992 - Tool and Die Maker, Gage Inspector, Model Maker, experienced in building

and repairing dies (progressive and deep draw and compound dies), jigs and fixtures, s.p.c.

gage inspection, machine building tube and conduit bending, prototype experimental

pump design. CNC experience in programming and operations. Sheet Metal Fabrication

and Welding (Mig, Tig, Arc) Project Coordinator.
