I created production orders in the MRP system, assigning them Customer Promise Dates based on raw material

and labor lead times. I had the responsibility of giving the production orders a promise date and then I assisted

the Production Team Leaders by prioritizing their orders. I expedited and re-allocated parts and worked with

Engineering to cross reference parts. I then made temporary deviations to the bill of materials; re-printed and

re-routed paperwork to ensure the customer received their orders on time. I entered buy card data into the

MRP system and entered the dock date information received from our suppliers. I analyzed the missed buy

card report and updated material lead times, called suppliers for confirmation of material ship dates, expedited

parts, changed ship methods and performed other duties as needed. I searched the internet for new suppliers,

contacting them for information. I held individual weekly meetings with each Team Leader to review the

orders they were responsible for in the upcoming weeks, and helped resolve any issues that they may have with

parts. I read Supplier magazines to keep abreast of new procurement developments. Inside Sales contacted me

for any necessary information regarding customer orders. I was the main source for internal communications

between purchasing, inside sales, shipping, and the manufacturing floor. I processed all returned orders

(RMA’s), processing the paperwork and computer data through to completion, closing the RMA.
