Poster presentation at Center for Food Safety, University of GA 17th annual
meeting in Atlanta, GA on March 2 -3, 2010. The topic of presentation was
“Survival of Salmonella in organic and conventional broiler feed at different
temperatures and water activities”.
Research expertise
Microbiology: Isolation, identification and characterization of foodborne pathogens with
expertise in Salmonella and E.coli O157:H7.
Isolation and identification of Salmonella spp. from poultry water, feed and fecal
sample.
Dry inoculation technique (chalk) of poultry feed samples
Molecular techniques:
Polymerase Chain Reaction (PCR)
Quantitative Real Time PCR (qPCR)
Statistical Skills: Experimental design, ANOVA, Single and multiple linear regressions
Strengths: Excellent verbal communication skills, both written and oral.
