processing programs. Principal interface with financial institutions (FIs)
in North America, Europe and the Middle East, acquiring banks, MVNOs, MNOs,
SMS aggregators, content providers, BIN sponsors, processors, KYC and AML

. Responsible for developing new business relationships and the
necessary strategies with FIs, Acquirers and other stakeholders to
deliver our client requirements.
. Marketed key company products to potential clients in EMENA, Caribbean

. Refined the roll-out of mobile commerce programs (ticketing, prepaid

for 50,000 cardholders. Program forecasted to grow to 100,000 by end

and card issuance ties in the Middle East and Asia.
. Rolled-out a Trusted Service Manager solution in Trinidad and Tobago
which involves; MNOs, FIs, SMS aggregator, BIN Sponsors, Government
agencies (postal service, port authority and online agencies).
. Designed and participated in designing prototypes for mobile marketing

. Developed the strategies for WPS to become Trusted Service Manager for
all three MNOs, content providers, Acquirers, FIs and other players
within the payments eco-system.
. Developed strategies for Prepaid Top-Up, P2P (using money, minutes or
other units of economic value), E2E (commercial implementations), Card
Issuance (prepaid, debit and credit/affinity type), money remittance
inter-carrier, national and international.
. Developed strategies for a robust Stored Value Offer to serve as the
carrier's primary payment instrument. Offer can be extended to the
mobile device. In later phases, payment cards designed so that they
can be tied to a debit or prepaid physical card. Worked towards an
extension to physical credit card with Near Field Communication
technologies
. Provided strategies for closed loop transactions designed to reduce or
eliminate selected fees. Worked with key merchants, such as mass
transit, mass entertainment events, big box stores and government
institutions.

Senior Manager of Infrastructure, Network, Telecom and Operations Services
Investigated and executed ways to reduce cost, yet created a robust, fault
tolerant environment. Built the technical teams that managed the entire POS
(ACQUIRING) back-office for Royal Bank of Canada and Bank of Montreal.
. Developed a strategy for the integration of Moneris' Chicago and
Vancouver offices' network, infrastructure and desktop. This allowed
Moneris to reduce duplication in business units. Responsible for the
budget, 5 PMs, other assigned resources. Head the PMO group.
. Program Director for a new data centre and seven floors, which housed
Moneris corporate users, ACD, SERVERS, LAN, and WAN. Redesigned the WAN
and LAN and reduced cost per month from the service provider. Environment
capable of doing VOIP for non-critical and customer facing calls. Removed
private T1 circuits and route voice traffic over the WAN, this further
reduced the monthly network cost. Co-chair the PMO group, responsible for
the budget, requirements, 12 PMs, other external and internal resources.
. Responsible for Monet (Intranet) and Moneris.com. Set the direction for
Monet and Moneris from an application and infrastructure perspective,
given the business objective.
. Directed the build out Moneris' system and network architecture for their
mission critical systems at Q9 (hosting facilities). Built mission
critical back-up/restore environment, along with DRP infrastructure and
methods and procedures for the BCP strategy. Created network diversity,
redundancies, failover, and almost zero down-time environment all under
budget.
. Developed long-term strategy for Infrastructure and Telecom, for example,
virtualization using VMware, reduced data cost by implementing MPLS for
core networks. Reviewed technology and hardware that could reduce TCO and
increase ROI.
. Participated in the review and execution of external audits such as
Digital Risk Assessment (DRA), SAS 70 and Payment Card Industry (PCI)
specifically for financial organizations. This ensured all data and
transactions traversed and were stored in a hardened and robust
environment compliant with DRA and PCI. Senior member of Infosec
Emergency Team.
. Assisted Moneris EMV (Card Not Present and chip & PIN) requirements and
attended all technical EMV sessions hosted by Visa International.
. Initiated the development of a Moneris strategy for a new IP Call Centre
that spans three locations (one location may be collapsed) within Canada
and the US. Enabling VOIP handset/soft-phones to the desktop. Continued
with a primary/primary concept to meet our BCP objective (zero down
time). Assessed VOIP to replace analog ACD with SIP over the corporate
MPLS.
. Negotiated with CLEC/LECs to reduce long distance/toll-free/IVR traffic
cost by half across Canada and the US.
. Developed and maintained relationships with VARS, service providers,
Telcos and manufacturers for all environments including Cisco, Juniper,
IBM, HP, all Canadian Telcos, wireless service providers, RBC and BMO.
Developed SLAs, SLOs and reviewed contracts, MSA and schedules for
