Tooling Controller
. Work with suppliers to insure tooling is started for new
programs and track tool timing to insure parts are available for
pre-production builds.
. Work with suppliers to make sure they have purchase orders and
tool costs are appropriate. Approve supplier invoices for
payments after part PPAP.
. Perform tooling audits at supplier locations to ensure all
tooling is correct.
. Visit supplier tool shops and suppliers during pre-production
process to insure all tooling requirements are met and processes
are correct.

Sr. Tooling Engineer / Development Engineer
. Review product designs for molding production feasibility, this
includes
working with OEM designers and stylists to solve their product
development issues.
. Attend PDT meetings at OEM's to review product designs for best
practice.
. Work with purchasing to determine mechanics to quote and
sourcing of plastic injection molds to capable mold shops and
justify costs.
. Oversee multiple tool programs at tool shops for tool build and
gage build, readying tools for production this includes,
approving mold designs, determining the best mechanics for

reduce scrap rates and reduce cycle times, this included tool

robots, this includes eliminating degating fixtures.

Engineer and Quality Eng. to bring a mirror program from concept
design to production.
. Analyzed CAD data (produce design) to create and improve mold
design.
. Conduct moldflow analysis on class A parts for best gate
location and knit line location.
. Oversaw multiple tool programs at tool shops for tool build,
readying tools for production this includes, approving mold
designs, determining the best mechanics for building the mold
and work with process engineers to determine best molding
process.
. Worked with manufacturing engineer to add gage points (locators
to products). This is used with the Bosch automated assembly
modules for automated assembly.
. Was responsible to make a quality part from the tool. This
included any tool changes required and all process improvements
needed.
. Worked with local tool sources and Chinese tool sources for tool
build.
