GISSALab at KSU Manhattan, KS
September 2008 - Current Graduate Research Assistant
. Digitize and ortho-rectify aerial photographs of the Petrified
National Forest in Arizona. Photos are then mosaicked, color
balanced and feathered to create one map of the park. Work has
also been done on finalizing a vegetation map for the park.
Freelance contract work through the lab has also been done in
creating historical maps of Texas for publication as well as
custom maps for corporate use.

. Created conduit mapping for town growth. Delineated hydrologic
units and database creation for wetland reclamation project.

. Worked on a FEMA contract to remap Flood Insurance Rate Maps in
specified counties. Performed quality control analysis as well
as annotation and layout design to FEMA specifications.

COMMUNITY ACTIVITIES:
G.R.O.W (Girls Researching Our World)
Co-directed projects for girls in 6th through 8th grades in
various schools across Kansas to familiarize them with
various aspects and possible uses of science technology.
4-H for the State of Kansas
Directed and created classes for 4-H summer camp to familiarize
participants with GPS systems and point acquisition, retrieval
and upload.
K.G.A (Kansas Geographical Alliance)
Direct presentations and classes to familiarize teachers
throughout Kansas about GIS and integrating geography into
