design and optimization, (c) data acquisition and analysis, (d)

material surface characterization (SEM, AFM, STM, EDX, FIB, etc).

- Designed and optimized fiber-laser micro-welding process with nickel

based alloy for a MEMS device

- Studied the Nickel-690 alloy TIG welding process with electromagnetic

stirring (to refine grain size and reduce crack defects)

- Machined micro-scale patterns on various materials (metal, glass,

semiconductor and biomaterial surfaces) for different applications
