While performing all prior assignments, I have assumed the

responsibilities of Facility Coordinator and Environmental Management Representative. I was
responsible for keeping track of all assets, scheduling of contractors, equipment relocation, and
implementing ISO 14001 into the facility. I also had the responsibility of implementing a TPM
program and Preventive Maintenance program through the PMC 2000 software.

My responsibilities included taking care of all electrical problems in the building. I can read
blue prints, do control wiring, install new equipment and update old wiring. GKN purchased
11 Allen Bradley SLC 501's and I wrote the programs for each one. I have written programs

for 2 Allen Bradley Micrologic 1000's and a program for a Direct Soft 250. I also installed a
DVT vision system for the purpose of inspecting finished products for defects before
shipment. I also supervised maintenance personal on all three shifts. I was responsible for
scheduling maintenance and preventive maintenance tasks.

Did all aspects of Industrial, Commercial and Residential wiring. Worked with 110
volts to 600 volts (single and 3 phases), wired all types of machinery, motors and
control panels.

I went to AMP to help increase production and to improve quality
control. I was put in charge of installing a 10 die Neihoff rod break
down machine. I was given a 1.3 million dollar budget for the
purchase and installation of the equipment and an 8 month time
frame to be in full production. The equipment was installed under budget
and a month early. We then installed a Neihoff 2 wire high speed
intermediate drawing machine, a Neihoff single wire high
speed drawing machine and a Neihoff high speed fine wire
drawing machine. I also helped to implement new SPC
charting and new training procedures to improve the quality.

Machine Operator/ Supervisor
Self taught in all aspects of copper wire drawing and fabricating. I
learned to run Cook and Watson (single and double twist) bunching
machines, Vaughn rod drawing machine, Henrich, Syncro and Watson single
wire drawing machines. I learned how to fix mechanical and
electrical problems. I was promoted to a supervisory position after two years of
service. I was then responsible for production requirements, quality
control and did most of the electrical maintenance. Piedmont Wire
was sold in December 1984 and became Southerland Wire.

Helped to start a new wire drawing and fabricating business. I was responsible
for the installation and start-up of the new equipment. When the equipment
was in place, I hired and trained all employees. After the employees were
trained, production began and I was responsible for all the day to day
operations, including stock, production requirements, quality control, shipping and
receiving, and maintenance. We expanded the company to three shifts with 50
employees and monthly shipments of over 200,000 pounds of finished
product. Southerland Wire was relocated to Hickory and renamed Hickory
Wire, Inc.

Plant Manager
I was responsible for all plant operations with three shift supervisors,
One shipping supervisor and 75 employees. I wrote the entire machine
operating manual, quality control procedures, and manuals for each
stage of the operation. I was responsible for moving the business from
a 12,000 square foot facility to a 62,000 square foot facility. During
the move we were able to keep up with all production
requirements while adding new equipment to double production.
