Digital Mapping Technician - DMT
Data entry technician at Teleatlas, entering data
into the computer for the making of maps. The data
and information was primarily used for hand-held
and automobile navigational devices.
Projects were assigned on a timely basis where I
worked independently a majority of the time.
I also worked closely with other editors on mapping
problems to ensure that the company's product was
correct and a quality product was produced.

Maintenance Coordinator
As a Maintenance Coordinator it was my duty to
schedule the machine maintenance crew of 5 in
repair and maintenance of plastic injection mold
equipment and facilities.
Controlled inventory of parts and equipment on a
JIT schedule and requisitioned parts as needed.
As the companies first Maintenance Coordinator it
was my duty to set up a computer maintenance
control program that tracked machine history, parts
usage, along with inventory of parts and time
management of maintenance crew.
With the computerized program it was my duty to
work within the established standards for ISO.

Board mechanical draftsman creating mechanical
drawings of welding products manufactured at the
facilities. All drawings were completed in pencil.
In creating drawings of the company's products some
measuring required using assorted measuring devices
such as a comparator, calipers and micrometers.
Maintained and controlled files by product and
project for every item created. These drawing were
used by production in making of the product using
CNC machines and other various machines.
Performed fabrication of prototype parts when
necessary using machinist tools and measuring
devices.

Working for OSD I created mechanical drawings of
orienting machines and large packaging equipment to
be fabricated using a computerized program similar
to Auto CAD.

controlling the project from concept to finished

original drawing and sending finished drawing to
the machine shop for fabrication.
Maintained and controlled records on projects for
each piece of equipment and customer.

Supervised and trained a crew of 5 in the repair of
textile machinery as well as hands-on mechanic.
Responsible for requesting parts and equipment in
the repair of braiding machinery.
Increased machinery production and brought
production of product from 40% to 90% in 3 months
time.
Analyzed machinery and equipment and made
suggestions to increase production through
fabrication of equipment.

Started with Madrigal on the production floor
assembling high-end CD Players and maintaining
production levels.
Promoted to inspection of metal products provided
from outside sources while still maintaining a high
quality product.
Promoted to buyer of all metal products to be used
within the high-end audio systems.
Worked closely with vendors sourcing out new
contracts while maintaining old contracts on
product currently being produced and to ensure the
metal products maintained a high quality.
My main project was to take the metal products,
which were handled and processed at many levels,
and take it down to a one level product to save the
company money. I was informed it couldn't be
performed and I was fortunate to complete the task
before leaving the company.

Mechanic/Maintenance Supervisor/Plant Engineer
I started with Brownell & Co with many years and
training in many mechanical fields. My duties were
to repair textile machinery and maintain the
facilities while working capital projects to
improve the company. Troubleshooting equipment was
my strong point.
Promoted to Maintenance Supervisor and worked
hands-on with a maintenance crew of 11 while
training new mechanics in the repair of equipment
and facility upkeep.
Promoted to Plant Engineer where I worked closely
with outside vendors on capital projects, and
facility equipment, maintained records and history
of equipment setting up a computerized maintenance
program.
Requisition parts and equipment to maintain
equipment and facilities.
Performed layout and set-up of an off-site
production department for a company product within
a federal correction facility in Bastrop, Texas.
Worked with set up and training of prisoners in the
making of camouflage nets for the military.

Vinal Tech is a trade school at high school level
where I explored several trades before choosing
one.
Attended the trade school for Mechanical Drafting
then transferred to carpentry class learning how to
build houses.
In learning carpentry I specialized in finished
carpentry doing the trim work in houses we built.
Left trade school after 2-1/2 years.
1970 - 1971 East Hampton high School East Hampton,

Returned to EHHS and graduated in 1971.
1972 - 1975 US Army Various Post
Trained for Helicopter Mechanic at Fort Rucker, AL.
Trained in Electrical work at Fort Leonardwood,
Mo., assigned to Ft. Benning, GA attached to the
43rd Engineer Group.

Attended a two-year course on AutoCAD drafting
using Auto CAD 2004
Completed 1-1/2 years of training before leaving
due to medical reasons.
Interests
Photography and woodworking are my favorite things
to do. I've also enjoyed a good game of pool and
darts.
