Gained exposure to a wide array of practice areas including private equity,
corporate governance, project finance, international arbitration,
litigation, intellectual property, and business development. Researched
and helped draft a private placement memorandum (offering memorandum) for a
private equity fund focusing on sustainable development in Africa. Filed a
certificate of amendment to rename a non-profit corporation. Performed due
diligence reviewing contracts for a major airport privatization. Drafted
amendments to the bylaws as part of the representation of unsecured
lenders in a corporate bankruptcy restructuring. Reviewed documents and
prepared a closing folder for the project financing of a biodiesel plant in
Texas. Researched treaty law surrounding an international port dispute in
Dubai. Researched and wrote an internal memo regarding patent rights in a
dispute between an employer and a former employee. Developed a client
pitch to apply for the preferred counsel list of a major French bank.

Researched the controversial arrest of Bishop Vranishkovski, the head of
the Serbian Orthodox Church in Macedonia. Interviewed priests and lay
members of the Macedonian and Serbian Orthodox Churches. Studied the role
of the Macedonian Orthodox Church in Macedonian politics and the formation
of a Macedonian national identity.
