My name is Clay Wiggins and I started my banking career over four years ago
after completing my collegiate degree in finance. Upon graduation, I
started as a management trainee in the Retail Leadership Development
Program of Regions Bank. It was a fourteen month program that covered all
facets of retail banking and included countless hours of training in sales
and business development. During that time, I was promoted to Assistant
Branch Manager at six months into the program and upon completion was
promoted to branch manager of one of the offices in Albany, Georgia.
In January 2009, I was offered an opportunity to pursue a career in the
commercial lending area with AgGeorgia Farm Credit as an Agricultural
lender. Since my arrival, I have taken responsibility of a $20 million
portfolio that consists of short, intermediate, and long term financing
loans to agricultural entities. I am responsible for the lending and
underwriting of this portfolio as well as increasing volume and maintaining
any past due accounts. I have a broad knowledge of tax return, financing,
balance sheet, and cash flow analysis and all other financial review
techniques. In my time as a lender, I have overseen lending for operating
lines of credit, equipment purchase and lease, and real estate acquisition
and development.
I feel my experience in banking and the knowledge I have gained from
reviewing financial records of prospective borrowing companies gives me an
insight into successfully handling your financial needs in the small
business area. I am attentive to detail and organized. I find enjoyment in
working by myself and as a group. I need little direction and have great
management skills.
