CAREER EXPERIENCE:

5/2009 - 3/2010 Independent Consultant, U.S.

Consultant: Coach and counsel plant operations staff . Facilitate focus

groups for positive employee relations; serve as project consult on human

capital projects. Conduct audits on legal compliance, assist with

developing and implementing policies, procedures, performance management,

pay studies, job descriptions and analysis, employee recognition and

rewards, safety programs, and on-boarding guidelines.

1/2007 - 1/2009 ARAMARK Education K-12, Detroit, MI

Senior Human Resources Manager: Recipient of the 2008 ARAMARK Education

National award for HR Business Partner. I was responsible for working with

and providing consultation and recommendations to human resources staff for

the client; in addition, ARAMARK HR field staff members. My

responsibilities included but were not limited to managing client employees

in multi locations. Those responsibilities are in readiness areas of

Capacity, Capability and Engagement (i.e. on-boarding, talent management

processes, HR metrics, safety, talent acquisition and staffing, training,

disciplinary hearings. Lead and ensure highest level of quality to annual

people processes; (i.e. performance management, legal compliance,

succession planning, salary and incentive planning, rewards and

recognition, client reports, career management processes, talent and

development objectives and local project facilitation and implementation.

Lead initiatives for union avoidance and positive employee relations.

1/2006 - 1/2007 Coca Cola Bottling Company, Los Angeles, CA

Employee Relations Manager responsible for employee and labor relations of

1,100 employees in a Los Angeles bottling plant and approximately 2500

employees in distribution centers in multi plant locations in Southern

California. I managed daily HR activities for Transportation and Plant

Operations. Participated in mediations and pre-arbitration meetings;

delivered HR support to both union and non-union employees, which also

included salary exempt and non-exempt employees. My responsibilities also

included but were not limited to contract interpretation (three separate

collective bargaining agreements), policies, work rules, and procedures,

new hire processing, suspensions, terminations and progressive discipline

process. I facilitated union/management bi-weekly meetings, new hire

orientation classes and diversity initiatives. Processed and delivered

monthly reports that included several measurable objectives such as

attendance, grievances, turnover, internal time and payroll audits, and

dispute resolution.

7/2003 - 1/2006 Detroit Chassis LLC, Auto Truck and Recreational

Vehicles Detroit, MI

Labor Relations Team Leader responsible for advising and serving function

leaders and plant floor group leaders for approximately 400 UAW workers.

Interpret labor contract agreement; manage grievance processes, policies,

shop rules and disciplinary determinations. Facilitated union and

management meetings as well as represent the company as a senior negotiator

(2nd chair) during contract negotiations. Conduct risk management

assessments thru rigorous check and balances and BSC (Balance Score Card)

meetings to ensure accurate and timely reporting on unemployment claims,

attendance, absenteeism, turnover, grievance issues, new hires and

recruiting. Successful as Project Leader on five approved and implemented

projects (time and attendance averaging world class presenteeism, shop

rules, recruitment and selection, performance management and employee

morale. I have also received incentives and reward recognition for

projects that focused on human capital strategies for internal auditing

with lean concepts in process mapping, policies and procedures and

succession plans, compensations and competitive advantages.

8/2002 - 7/2003 Independent Consultant; MI, GA

Consultant : independent contracts working with various companies

conducting HR audits and risk assessments, HR scorecards; in addition,

facilitated training classes. I also did substitute teaching at local

elementary and high schools.

5/2000 - 7/2001 Johnson Controls Inc., Automotive Seating

Division Plymouth, MI

Human Resource Supervisor: responsible for supporting 3000 UAW union

employees in labor and employee relations, mediation, payroll, time and

attendance, grievances, contract negotiations, disciplinary actions

including but not limited to suspensions and terminations, new hire,

recruiting, testing, orientation, performance management and benefit

administration.

4/1994 - 5/2000 Ford Motor Company, Plant Operations Romulus, MI

Human Resource Supervisor: responsible for supervising and providing human

resource generalist support for 1500 hourly and salary employees for both

union and non-union employees. Participated in contract negotiations (1st

row); in addition, coordinated payroll processes, participated and served

as member for the diversity and inclusion corporate citizenship supplier

programs, managed disciplinary actions, recruiting, workers compensation,

EEOC compliance and unemployment benefits.

Unemployment Claims Worker: responsible for processing unemployment claims,

conducted interviews for adjudication and appeal claims, authorized and

processed payments and issued checks, investigated and resolved issues for

restitution control for intentional and unintentional fraud issues.
