electron microscope.
- Captured excellent quality images of the specimens after sectioning
blocks using an ultra microtome and staining these sections with
toluidine blue or lead citrate and uranyl acetate.
- Assisted students and faculty with the processing of the specimens
and helped them use the scanning and transmission electron
microscopes for their research.
- Arranged laboratory sessions for biology and microbiology courses
by preparing chemicals/media and setting up the required materials

their sporulation. Further analysis of their fruiting bodies and
spores helped me identify and classify the organism as part of a
research on the "Degradation of bamboo leaves by aquatic
hyphomycetes."
Research Assistant
August 2001 - May 2002
UPR- Mayaguez Campus
Mayaguez, PR
. Identified plant specimens collected in the field, classified them
