EXPERIENCE
Product/ Design Manager May 2005 to May 2009
Whitehall Products, Montague, MI
Evolving position within the company, to include both Designer and Product
Manager roles. Lines include furniture and outdoor accessories designed
for the retail market, and signage and mailboxes geared to national
builders.
Act as a liaison to the Sales and Marketing Departments, and also to the
customer directly. Developed relationships with key corporate contacts to
launch licensed and exclusive products for Pulte Homes, DR Horton, Toll
Brothers, Shea Homes, Harley-Davidson, Disney, Cabelas, Budweiser,
Frontgate, and many more.
Product launch experience includes innovation and conception, creation of
sales and marketing tools, formation of display packaging and POP, and the
direction of branding and go-to-market strategy.
Outlined marketing programs for various customer bases including big box
stores and catalog companies.
Known for original category conception; launched an entirely original
furniture line made primarily from available castings, incorporating
renewable and sustainable materials.
Spearheaded green marketing education within the organization, highlighting
