Senior Design Project - Radar Based Motion Detector (Autumn2009 - Winter

2010)

- Designed an automated doorbell system using a Doppler radar system and

TelosB motion detector. The automated doorbell was designed using a

BumbleBee Doppler Radar and TelosB board that has the MSP430

microcontroller with internal embedded antenna.

- Using Doppler Radar to identify objects shape, direction of motion and

velocity to implement a smart motion detector.

- TinyOS programming used for identification and filtering of radar

signals on a TelosB board.

Infrared Audio Link Project (Spring 2009)

- Designed and implemented an analog transceiver that converts an audio

wave to a digital form and transmits it via an IR link and finally

reconstruct the signal back to its analog form with minimal distortion

on the receiver side

- The implementation was done entirely using discrete electronics

components
