ACADEMIC PROJECT EXPERIENCE
Senior Design Project - Radar Based Motion Detector (Autumn2009 - Winter
2010)
- Designed an automated doorbell system using a Doppler radar system and
TelosB motion detector. The automated doorbell was designed using a
BumbleBee Doppler Radar and TelosB board that has the MSP430
microcontroller with internal embedded antenna.
- Using Doppler Radar to identify objects shape, direction of motion and
velocity to implement a smart motion detector.
- TinyOS programming used for identification and filtering of radar
signals on a TelosB board.
Infrared Audio Link Project (Spring 2009)
- Designed and implemented an analog transceiver that converts an audio
wave to a digital form and transmits it via an IR link and finally
reconstruct the signal back to its analog form with minimal distortion
on the receiver side
- The implementation was done entirely using discrete electronics
components
