present
Currently employed in the National Accounts division as a sales
representative for DiVal Safety, a safety and industrial distributor as of
November 2009. In this role I maintain and build established relationships
with utility and power generation companies throughout the Northeast
region. I also travel to facilities and attend safety fairs to promote new
items and educate clients on maintaining safe workplaces. Prior to DiVal I
continually met or exceeded sales expectations for Fastenal as an outside
sales rep in an industrial environment. Duties included maintaining an
established territory as well as generate new sales growth, acquire and
build relationships with new area businesses and personnel. Attended
several training sessions including a trade show with over 290 leading
vendors in the industry which has given me an added insight with the latest
technology and information available on the market. Daily activities
include packing orders, opening and closing store, outside sales and
deliveries, maintaining spreadsheets and sales reports and data, debt
collection and phone sales and assistance when assisting with customers in
the store. This position has enabled me to take many plant tours to
understand a variety of different industries and meet and develop
relationships with several business owners and employees.
* Field Service and Merchandising Specialist December 2004-2008
Developed successful relationships with management and personnel in 18 Home
depot locations in the New York region over a period of three and a half
years. Generated successful sales and provided excellent product knowledge
and service for accredited manufacturing companies such as Greentree sales,
a Home Depot In-Store service group (2005-2006), Pavestone patio blocks and
pavers(2006), and Crownbolt fasteners manufacturing and distribution (2007-
2008). These roles helped me develop relationship skills with store
management, contractors and home depot associates and customers, as well as
ordering and inventory management and product demonstrations to educate
customers. Also acquired big box retail knowledge of procedures and
operating techniques as a home depot certified garden specialist and garden
inventory ordering and receiving associate (2004-2005). In this role I
maintained proper inventory levels for garden live goods and landscaping
products and maintained relationships with product line vendors and
trucking companies. This successfully brought the garden department well
over their projected sales goals for the season and reduced company shrink.

As a customer service specialist and plant caretaker I gained extensive
experience and knowledge of garden live goods in the northeastern zones. I
have been actively working in the garden and landscaping business since
1998 both independently and for companies and independent contractors. In
the winter of 2000 I also had hands on training with an accredited floral
designer and have a successful background in the floral and decorating set
up industry. I have worked on major projects for well known restaurants and
country clubs in the Western New York area and have had many consultations
with prominent members in the community for parties and special events. I
have attended many local design shows and trade fairs for added techniques
and product knowledge and continue to actively research new plant varieties
and growing methods.
