Professional Experience
Independent Worker ( Fayetteville, AR (2009 - 2010)
Engineering Consultant & Charity Worker/Volunteer
Provides services to elderly through local Faith in Action. Transports
seniors to/from appointments and performs general maintenance work in their
homes. Supports fundraising efforts for the Make-a-Wish Foundation.

design work for the owners.
Bargo Engineering ( Fayetteville, AR (12/1996 - 6/2009)
Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Led teams of up to 8 in all facets of mechanical design work for this
engineering firm and machine shop that serviced manufacturing facilities
and other clients in sectors such as automotive, oil field, and home
building products. Conducted tooling design and project management through
fabricating of parts or assembling. Generated quotes to customers that
ranged from $200 parts to $50K in machinery. Managed budgets of up to
several hundred thousand dollars for assignments as well as ongoing budgets
for office technology equipment and supplies.
. Designed lightweight attachment for robot arm that allowed client to
double production volume with this tool and automated cutoff machines
that doubled width and thickness of products produced by another
customer.
. Created and applied rotating tooling for CNC lathes and mills that
reduced cycle times for machining parts by as much as 80% and greatly
decreased set-up time.
. Developed tooling required that saved the company in excess of $12K in
potential cost for OEM tooling needed for large run of parts on Wire
EDM machines.
. Recognized as "go to" person who secured hard to find repair parts for
older equipment (i.e., located part for large surface grinder with a
next day delivery when co-worker was quoted up to a 4-week delivery
time).
. Designed 3 machines that automated cutting of new type of thread
locking groove on well casing pipe which provided an exciting
innovative product line for a customer who is securing patents.
. Addressed a customer's bottleneck issue in its operation and designed
a dual head machine which not only allowed double the production out
of the machine in the same floor space, but provided for adjustment in
height of rolls and more flexibility in the size of product produced
by machine.
Lakefront Mechanical Education ( Fort Cobb, OK (3/2006 - 12/2006)
CEU Trainer (Part Time/Weekends)
Assisted in developing curriculum, designed all presentation graphics, and
instructed groups of 30 to 100 mechanical license holders at a time, in an
8-hour class for continuing education credit, covering the 2006 code cycle
changes in national commercial and residential mechanical codes.
Instructed 4-hours of each 8-hour class session on the weekends.

time in a classroom setting.
VARTEC ( Tulsa, OK (1/1996 - 12/1996)
Mechanical Design Engineer
Performed wide array of mechanical design work for automated manufacturing
systems and equipment. Utilized AutoCAD Design Software, conducted
workspace and equipment layout, created documentation, and performed
successful project management for each order. Accountable for purchasing,
assembly and installation instruction, and support/supervision of staff.
Generated customer and vendor correspondence.
. Assumed unfinished project work which involved a high speed packaging
operation with continuous flow of products that could not be slowed
down. Automated a very repetitive operation and incorporated
ergonomics and safety into design that eliminated injuries to
operators.
. Designed automated palletizing line that incorporated vacuum heads,
and stacked cardboard boxes of varying sizes and weights, which were
pre-packed with customer's product, onto pallets in pre-programmed
patterns.
. Completed major projects for clients such as Golden Valley Microwave
Foods (automated palletizing system) and Abbott Pharmaceuticals
(automated packaging equipment for medical I.V. bags).

project management with a staff of 5 direct reports. Planned, coordinated,
and applied resources throughout equipment installation process. Trained
machine operators on all 3 shifts.
. Doubled production of 3 machines in 1 area of the factory through
design of new tooling that fit drilling machines originally equipped
with single drills. Designed multiple drill head adjustable tooling
that not only doubled production but provided for multiple sizes of
the product to be produced.
. Developed universal change out mounting plates that allowed tooling to
be assembled while machine was running and reduced actual machine
