Managed and performed functions in each of the following:

Financial Planning and Analysis

Financials records including preparation of monthly financial statements,

budget preparation, and variance analysis. Worked directly with Debt Loan

Officer in areas relating to the corporation's debt. Developed annual

standard costs. Supervision and reconciliation of quarterly and annual

inventory counts. Worked directly with outside auditors for completion of

annual audit.

Payroll

Managed the Payroll Department for 300 union employees (including day rate

and incentive pay employees), and for 55 salaried employees. Verified

payroll was processed in compliance with the Local Steel Workers contract.

Verified compliance with state and federal taxing agencies. Filed all

quarterly and annual payroll tax returns. Worked with and supervised Human

Resources in areas related to payroll, workers compensation, medical and

life insurance costs. Worked directly with outside firms to complete

audits of all benefit plans and discrimination testing for 401K plans.

Accounts Receivable

Managed all areas of Accounts Receivable, including cash application,

processing of all customer credits, account reconciliations and collection.

Assisted Customer Service in understanding and solving account

discrepancies. Worked with the Sales Department to determine product

pricing, customer terms, and annual sales volume forecasting.

Accounts Payable

Managed the Accounts Payable Department. Supervised the verification of

all purchases from point of initial requisition to final vendor payments.

Performance of bank reconciliations. Reconciliation of account

discrepancies with vendors. Worked with Purchasing to determine cost

effective pricing based upon production requirements.
