An advanced one hundred million dollar Catalog and Direct Mail printing

company employing 600 plus people throughout the United States.

Vice President of Manufacturing and Plant Manager

Accountable for overseeing Prep, Press, Finishing, Maintenance, and

Scheduling in our Saint Cloud commercial printing location. Also,

responsible for day to day Plant Manager responsibilities of our Sauk

Rapid Direct Mail/Direct Marketing plant. Held the P & L

accountability for all of Manufacturing.

. Started up the Sauk Rapid Direct Mail facility in March of 2007.

. Dramatic reduction in quality issues and reduction in "inspecting

in quality" through handwork labor by utilizing Lean tools and Six

Sigma methodologies.

. Reduced safety related issues and incidents by over 60% over a

three year period.

. Decreased labor management costs by 18% in 2007, 16% in 2008, and

on track for another double digit reduction for fiscal 2009.

Vice President Finishing Operations 2004 - 2006

Responsible for managing 3,000 employees, 300 machines, and 200

managers through nine direct reports. Oversaw Finishing department in

nine locations throughout the United States. Held P & L

accountability for a department which had sales of $325 million.

. Increased Finishing department Sales by $25 million in 2005.

. Realigned leadership, cost structures, and reduced non-value added

activities in 2005; a five million dollar increase was accomplished

which resulted in having the best fiscal year as a department in

the history of the company.

. Instituted labor management and cost control changes to achieve

best one month profit recovery in Finishing's history for October

2005.

. Increased profits over three million dollars using Lean tools and

team involved work cells.

. Presented a case study to worldwide bankers outlining the Lean

Manufacturing concepts and tools used in the 2005 turnaround;

presentation was instrumental in securing $200 million in low

interest loans.

Director of Finishing Operations 2003 - 2004

Oversaw the Finishing operations departmental leadership worldwide

under the mentorship of the current Vice President of Finishing.

. Expanded the use of Lean tools to realize an annual savings of over

three million dollars.

. Implemented Six Sigma in Lomira resulting in four million dollars

in capital expenditures savings in 2003.

. Decreased plant paper and ink waste from over 2% to less than 1%;

saving the company $600,000 annually.

. Implemented Six Sigma change management tools which allowed

decreased set-up time in one area by over 30%.

Operations Manager Lomira, Sussex and Saratoga Springs 1986 -

2003

Led groups of managers and employees in three separate locations

throughout the United States to ensure productivity, labor management,

cost controls, and client satisfaction of the Finishing departments

were met.

. Implementation of Six Sigma in Lomira increased productivity 14%

from 2002 to 2003. The department went from a ranking of eighth

out of nine to the most productive.

. Indoctrination of the lead staff in financial basics, team

involvement, and leadership training caused the Sussex department

to achieve a $5.5 million turnaround from 1998 to 1999.

. Awarded significantly more business from largest client, Time Inc,

due to the increases of the Saratoga department's productivity and

improved customer satisfaction.

. Established superior work teams and created machine franchises

which led to three million dollar soar in profitability of the

Saratoga department in 1994.
