As a District HR Manager, I was responsible for 21 stores (approx 2000+ associates) and have been
responsible for as many as 74 stores (approx 5900+ associates). In that role, I addressed issues
pertaining to sexual harassment, discrimination, retaliation, benefits, payroll, and other general HR issues
and grievances. I was responsible for recruiting all salaried managers, hourly managers, and other key
positions by way of attending local Job Fairs, placing employment ads in various newspapers, utilizing
online recruiting tools, and direct sourcing. I also administered HR Training to all store and district level
management positions. Topics discussed during training included Equal Employment Opportunity,
Harassment, Diversity, and Performance Management. Additional responsibilities are outlined below.
• Assisted corporate and retail management to develop and implement associate strategies and
improve associate performance
• Responsible for district’s performance management and succession planning processes
