Frequency Direction Finding (HFDF) tip off requests to a Net Management Center obtaining
geo-locational results and plotting lines of bearings and fix data using OILSTOCK mapping
techniques. Performed quality control on HFDF results and forwarded HFDF results reports to
local and national consumers. Maintained a high priority commitment to theater, tactical, and
Coast Guard commanders in support of special emphasis, navigational assistance to include

directives. Reported equipment malfunctions and system outages to the Senior Watch Officer.
• Provided theater and national consumers with critical information by creating a visual
depiction for reactionary forces which allowed for countermeasures to be implemented

over 200 requests which contributed to safe operations of crews and vessels while
transiting through international waters
• Reported 10,000 direction finding requests on various elements, producing 33% of

oscilloscopes, receivers, spectrum analyzers, recorders, and antenna systems. Obtained initial
signal parametric data by performing waveform analysis related to frequency, period, amplitude,
phase, power distribution, and modulation. Utilized state-of-the-art computers and manipulated
complex software routines to perform in depth analysis on high interest items. Researched signal
characteristics and identified key mission entities. Provided assistance to other mission
monitoring, processing, and reporting functions supporting national-level, theater wide and local
multiservice consumers.
• Mastered five software applications to perform assigned signals analysis duties that led to
acquisition and identification of 64 high frequency signals of interest
• Contributed to the Signals Development Center; authoring and forwarding over 100
technical reports to national-level consumers in a timely and accurate manner while in
training status; one-third of shifts reporting
