Worked with design engineers in product design and mold shops to build

injection molds in the US and China. Advanced products from design

through all phases of mold build; deconstructed new-part drawings,

provided mold specifications, obtained quotes, placed molds with mold

shops, and approved mold drawings, mold samplings, and molds. Traveled to

mold shops in the US and China as needed. Assisted Shop Vac accounting

staff with budgets and AFE expenditures.

Tooling Manager - Norwich Manufacturing Division 2004 to 2008

Served as plant manager for the company tool shop, directing day-to-day

operations, including budget and labor reporting. Oversaw the build of

injection molds for thermoplastic and thermoset molds. Supervised 10-12

tool makers in all phases of mold build and repair; handled employee

hiring and termination. Specified and approved mold drawings. Placed

orders for mold components, bases, and steel.

Tooling Manager - Canton Manufacturing Division 1992 to 2004

Managed all aspects of the tool shop, including scheduling repairs and

engineering production mold and tooling changes. Partnered with outside

tool shops to have engineering changes and repairs performed for

production molds. Prioritized mold repairs with production control staff.

Built molds, handled engineering changes, and repaired injection molds for

production.

Previously employed as a Tool and Die Maker with Burndy Corporation,

serving as second shift group leader in charge of building and maintaining
