Systems, Corp: (Staff Accountant)
Regional Accountant for Canadian Region (Toronto, Ottawa,
Montreal, Calgary, Toronto Pearson Airport); Rochester Region
(Rochester, Syracuse, Pittsburgh); Nashville Region (Nashville,
Knoxville, Memphis, Birmingham). Accounting duties are
performed for parking facilities which are either owned, leased
or managed by Central Parking Systems. Responsibilities for
each city (monthly): Manage and educate field office accounting
personnel toward monthly closings for all responsible cities;
Meet strict deadlines; Prepare, research, import, post journal
entries to G/L; Perform adjustments and set-up of new, updated
and closed parking lots; Contract Audit; Maintain currency
exchange conversions between Canadian and US dollars; Perform
month end close procedures producing 3 sets of financial
statements for each city group; Analyze P&L's to produce
settlements (Invoice or Payment to Management Clients); Oversee
approval of Payables for all cities; Perform Balance Sheet
reconciliations for all city G/L accounts; Prepare Use Tax pmts:
Sales Tax reconciliatin: Assist in Audit research and Ad Hoc

Accounting - A/P, A/R, Payroll, Invoicing, Cash Management:
prepared and analyzed monthly financial statements, budgeting,
yearly and quarterly tax returns. Admin - managed 5 employees
and all contractors, maintained and prepared client and sub-
contractor contracts, researched project pricing, researched and
purchased all supplies, business equipment and software. Sales
- called existing clients, researched and called potential
clients nationwide for possible inclusion onto vendor list for
bidding projects and responded to internet or industry magazine
advertisements to bid projects. HR - responsible for all hiring
and firing of employees, maintained all Medical Insurance and
Retirement plans. Marketing - created all company brochures,

clients. Drafting - created and directed new company service
division of computer drafting and design of cable television

supplies, researched correctness of medical insurance contracts
and renewals for doctors, met with CPA monthly, used Peachtree

make sure escrow deposit was timely, artist performed as

used Varnex accounting software.
