Summary: Over six years of history managing various construction projects.
Last four and a half years, the focus has been not only on Project
Management and Construction Management in industrial
manufacturing environments working with both union craft workers
and private contractors, but also includes dailey Predictive Preventive
Maintenance Coordination and Mechanical Integrity Compliance
Inspections for DOW Chemical. I was also on a large scale
environmental CERCLA HAZWOPER cleanup project. Working
closely with EPA, TNDEC and TVA in cleaning up the Ash Spill at
Kingston Fossil Plant.
Experience: July 2012 to Present- Jacobs Engineering
Serving as Project Manager and Construction Coordinator
at DOW Chemical at Knoxville Tennessee plant.
Major Responsibilities: Trained and over saw the orderly
transition of the Preventive Predictive Program that I was
responsible to the new coordinator.
Responsible for Design, Procurement, Scheduling,
Construction and Commissioning of Plant Capital and
Expense Projects. Working closely with DOW and Jacobs
Project Engineers, Designers, Supply Chain Leadership,
and Environmental Health and Safety Officers in order to
manage plant’s Union Craft Labors, operators and local
contractors in implementing Plant Objectives.
Major Projects:
Anhydrous Maleic Tank Replacement Project- The
$1.5M project consists of removal of an existing 25k gal
tank and the installation of a new 20k gal tank with all
mechanical and electrical components. I was responsible in
expediting all aspects of this typically a seven month
project from planning to commission in three and a half
month with no safety incidents.
Tennessee Pollution Abatement Burner Management
System upgrade- Working with Jacobs Project Manager
and Engineers, I was responsible in pre shut down
construction and preparation to upgrade the incinerator
system. During the plant shut down, assist with
supervision of the 24 hours construction activities.
EPLS Stretch Wrapper Replacement Project-
Responsible for removal and installation of a stretch
wrapper and conveyer system.

DOW Maintenance Shop Relocation Project-

Responsible for design, procurement, construction and
commission of the DOW Maintenance Shop.
June 2010 to July 2012- Jacobs Engineering
At client’s request, assigned as Predictive Preventive
Maintenance Coordinator for DOW Chemical at Knoxville
Tennessee plant.
Major responsibilities: Serve as coordinator/planner for
the all aspects of the predictive and preventive maintenance
projects at DOW Knoxville. Responsible for evaluating
each project for its effectiveness, frequency and accuracy.
Eliminate any preventive maintenance project that does not
add value to safety and it is unnecessary to the function of
the plant. Assist in the integration of the preventive
maintenance program from Rohm and Haas system to
DOW system. Update, perform and maintain the
Mechanical Integrity Program. Use the data gather from
the Mechanical Integrity to predict inherent risk in critical
equipments. Work with engineers, contractors and plant
personnel to resolve any issues found.
April 2009 to June 2010- Jacobs Engineering
Assigned as Construction Manager at TVA Kingston
Recovery Project.
Major responsibilities: Serve as a manager for site wide
vegetation and dust suppression. Responsible for Project
Management functions including but not limited to:
planning, cost tracking, estimating, scheduling,
subcontractor coordination, RFP contract coordination,
product testing and development. Working with individual
contractors to establish best dust suppression methods,
ensure the work done are consistent with TVA’s
expectations and the site is in compliance with EPA and
TDEC’s regulations.
Assist in establishing, planning, and implementing of the
CERCLA HAZWOPER compliance requirements.
Responsible for over 50 geotechnical sample well borings
and instrument installation.

Assigned as Rohm and Haas Construction Manager
Responsible for Design, Procurement, Scheduling,
Construction and Commissioning of Plant Capital Projects.
Working closely with Rohm and Haas and Jacobs Project
Managers, Engineers, Designers, Supply Chain Leadership,
and Environmental Health and Safety Officers in order to
manage plant’s Union Craft Labors, operators and local
contractors in implementing Plant Capital Objectives
Major project assignments at Rohm and Haas:
Knoxville Footprint Project- The $4MM Design/Built
project involves the relocation of ten 60,000 gal tanks from
Louisville, KY to Knoxville, TN. As the Construction
Manager, I was responsible for safety, schematic site
design, infrastructure construction, tank installation and all
mechanical and electrical work.
Cooling Tower Installation- The $2.3MM project
involves removal of two existing cooling towers and
installation of a new cooling tower while the plant
continues in operation. Portion of the project required
working 24 hours/7 days per week. As the Construction
Manager, I was responsible for the night work of hazardous
material abatement, temporary cooling tower installation,
dismantlement of the existing cooling tower, and
mechanical and electrical work.
Process Sewer Relocation- This was a joint project
between Knoxville Utility Board and Rohm and Haas in
replacing the existing process sewer line with a larger line.
As the Construction Manager, I was responsible for the
Rohm and Haas portion of the project which involved in
overseeing the excavation, installation, concrete, paving
and the seamless connection of the sewer lines between the
process basins and KUB portion of the sewer line.
Polymer Rail Road Switch Replacement- This project
involved the replacement of a section of the rail track and
the switch. As the Construction Manager, I was
responsible for the safety, quality and the on time delivery
of the new line to meet the Rohm and Haas shipping and
receiving schedule. We finished on time, on budget and
injury free.
