Vice-President of Operations
2008 - 2010
. Successfully managed the daily operations of 4 facilities to achieve
excellence in all key metrics, (safety, quality, delivery, cost-labor,
material, and overhead) to beat profit forecast. Bottom line profit
exceeded flexed forecast for years 2008 and 2009. Notable achievement
due to the fact that 2009 was worst performing year in this industry
segment.
. Initiated the transformation process from batch to lean. A model plant
was chosen and the conversion process started with Executive Leadership
learning standardized work, problem solving and Pull by conducting
workshops on the shop floor. Kaizen teams created for each plant by
freeing up people from improvement events to populate the teams. A
typical kaizen event would yield 25%-50% efficiency improvements in the
targeted area.
