Responsibilities: Concept, Brand Development, Design, Writing and Art

Direction. Teamed with Senior Writer to develop and implement creative

concepts and marketing strategies for a variety of clients in the

field of health care.

Representative Accomplishments:

. Instrumental in growing HC&B Healthcare Communications from a shop with

only one client in 2000 to

the leading healthcare marketing agency in the Southwest and one of the top

firms of its kind in the nation.

. Successfully branded and marketed KCI's VAC wound healing system, taking

it in 7 years from 25%

market awareness to the standard of care in wound healing, while increasing

sales revenue from $50 million

to $1.2 billion annually. Because of this success, was given marketing

responsibility for KCI's 3 other

divisions, and helped take KCI from a small family company to a publicly-

owned corporation that is now a

major international player in the medical products industry, with offices

in more than 20 countries.

. Rebranded Luminex Technology Corporation's more than 50 previously

fragmented subdivisions to create

a coherent, easily recognizable and expandable family identity.

Creative Director/Owner, Worldwise Design, Austin, Texas, 1994-2000

Responsibilities: Concept, Design, Writing, Production and Client Service.

Developed and implemented creative concepts, marketing strategies and

educational materials for a variety of commercial, environmental and social

service clients.

Representative Accomplishments:

. Developed educational and outreach materials for the Sustainable Food

Center and Sustainable Agriculture

Working Group. Helped grow the organization from a fledgling, 2-person,

local operation into a major

national policy maker with a large staff, permanent organic markets and

community gardens, ongoing social

outreach programs and a demonstration farm.

. Helped create and produce the Texas Environmental Almanac for the Texas

Center for Policy Studies. This

groundbreaking environmental resource helps scientists, government

officials, policy makers and the public

understand the current condition of Texas' environmental health and plan

for the state's future environmental

well-being. It was reprinted by the University of Texas Press and

reproduced in an online version.

Responsibilities: Concept, Design and Art Direction. Supervised the Graphic

Design Department of the Austin offices.

. Developed the Clean Texas 2000 campaign for the Texas Natural Resource

Conservation Commission.

This English- and Spanish-language statewide "reduce, reuse and recycle"

campaign included identity

development; coordinated newspaper, billboard and radio advertising; school

outreach; and statewide

competitions and awards.

. Rebranded Whole Foods Market in a major business-to-consumer promotional

campaign. This coordinated

campaign of advertising, billboards, direct mail, collateral and store

signage helped grow the company from

a local Austin organic food store to the foremost high-end grocery market

in the nation.
