Force Protection is a publicly traded OEM of Mine Resistant Ambush
Protected (MRAP) vehicles for the United States military and its allies.
Position based out of the Sterling Heights, MI office.
Supply Base Manager
Identify savings opportunities through market research and on-site vendor
evaluations. Specialize in reducing the total cost or procuring parts from
the Force Protection Supply Base. Improvements are made through Leveraging
Vendors, Leaner Supply Chains, Negotiations and Vendor Resourcing.
. Achieved a 40% cost reduction with the existing air and fluid handling
hose supplier by finding alternative suppliers. Annual value of
reduction between $280,000 and $500,000 per year.
. Completed a 12% reduction on Air Filter components by redesigning the
supply chain. Annual value of reduction between $85,000 and $150,000 per
year.
. Negotiated a 5% savings on high volume transparent armor by incorporating
a vendor stocking strategy. Also reduced lead time on glass with this
