Consulting services in capital project management, engineering management,

and facility management. I have experience implementing maintenance CMMS,

preventive and predictive maintenance programs, process development,

process controls and continuous improvement.

Crane Plastics Company, Columbus, Ohio 1986-2008

Senior Manager of Engineering/Maintenance/Facilities 1999-2008

Director of Engineering providing consulting and technical support for as

many as six business units. The business units had sales in excess of $400

million. Consulted, initiated and executed development with the six

business unit Presidents on new research and development projects and

process improvement opportunities. Consulted and provided technical

assistance on the production floor to their engineering, maintenance and

process staff on the improvement of existing product profitability and

process improvements.

. Developed new process for a business unit that effectively increased

their capacity 2X per production line.

. Initiated process development for a business unit that lowered their

material cost for the product 20 %.

. Named on three patents and two more patent applications involving both

product and process.

. Directed a site selection search for a business unit to locate a

suitable 200,000 sq.ft. manufacturing plant. Executed the plant

relocation for the business unit, a $10 million project. Completed

relocation, plant and facility start up in 9 months.

. Led project management with the design and construction of a 275,000

sq. ft. plant. Coordinated the $20 million construction plans that

included all facets of the operations, supply chain, sales, marketing,

quality, safety, and environmental requirements

Engineering Manager 1995-1999

Managed all engineering and technical operations at three facilities with

full budget responsibilities in excess of $8 million/yr and coordinated

with manufacturing to produce in a profitable and efficient manner. Managed

over $50 million in capital projects at the three facilities. Directed

engineering of three international start up operations. Conducted due

diligence on six potential company acquisitions. Provided management

oversight for a staff 10 engineers and associates of 50.

. Developed new process, plant layout, utilities and bulk material

systems for the wood composite market that ultimately became a $150

million deck business.

. Conducted due diligence and evaluated potential acquisitions for the

Company that now have sales of $20 to $35 million.

. Successfully directed start up of an international production line.

. Coordinated the retrofit of a 270,000 sq.ft. facility for a business

unit that included all operations, inventory and shipping. Directed

the start up of the operations, a $25 million project.

Maintenance Manager

1990-1995

Managed personnel on multiple plant sites, 3 engineers, 2 supervisors and

30 associates. Coordinated their work to meet the key performance

indicators of the operations while maintaining quality. Ensured compliance

with safety, environmental, health and OSHA regulations. Directed

technical and maintenance personnel for 2 operations. Managed staffing,

hiring, training for a budget of $4-5 million/yr.
