Dear Hiring Manager:
This letter is to express my interest in the UPS Field Service Technician
position located in San Francisco, California. The opportunity represented
in this listing is very appealing, and I believe my prior work experience
and skill-set make me a competitive candidate for the position.
As my resume will attest, I am a graduate of the University of California
at Berkeley, a school whose academic accolades have made it the number one
public university in the world. This being said, I have a solid physics,
chemistry, biology, and mathematics background; and am a quick study when
dealing with new information.
Upon graduation, I found myself working as a field service engineer for an
FDA approved medical device company. It was there I honed my field service
and troubleshooting knowledge. Working for an FDA regulated, ISO
compliant, company on critical life supporting equipment leaves no room for
error. I traveled around the country, often at a couple hours notice,
troubleshooting, repairing, and performing scheduled maintenance. In
house, I worked closely with quality assurance and engineering to
continually improve the design of Thoratec's ventricular assist device.
I posses a strong electromechanical skill-set that began with the fifty-
eight semester hours of avionic electronics I earned through the United
States Air Force. After an honorable discharge, I found myself performing
start to finish fabrication of electrical control panels in a manufacturing
environment. A strong work ethic and commitment to detail earned me a
management position within warehouse operations.
Thirteen years of providing exceptional customer service, to include my
most recent employment, has instilled the necessity of a positive customer
interaction. Treating every customer concern, from the most menial to the
most complex, with a positive can do attitude has built strong, lasting
customer/company relationships.
I welcome the opportunity to meet with you and elaborate on how I can
become a permanent contribution to Client's continuing success. Please
contact me by phone at 925-***-**** or e-mail at abmf9u@r.postjobfree.com. I
have enclosed my resume for your review and look forward to hearing from
you.
Sincerely,
Mike Kasmarek
