Steel & Pipe Supply Co., Olathe, Kansas - New warehouse facility with rail

access and overhead traveling cranes.

B-57 Static Display, Air National Guard, Forbes Field, Topeka, Kansas -

Designed the support structure for the base entrance display of a B-57

bomber. This display is one of the largest of it's kind outdoors.

AMC Theater, Dallas, Texas - Designed heavy structural steel bolted beam to

HSS tube connections for Capital Iron Works the fabricator. Many beams

were the new W40 size.

USP&FO Warehouse Expansion, Army National Guard, Topeka Kansas - Designed

new warehouse expansion and hazardous materials storage structure and

explosion venting.

Topeka Water Treatment Plant - Designed Phase I improvements to treatment

facility filters, new filter piping supports and new discharge structure.

1985-1994

Structural Engineer

Structural engineer on a wide variety of projects with varying

responsibilities of supervision of other engineers, designers, and

technicians.

Taiwan Power Corporation, Taipei, Taiwan - Assistant project structural

engineer in charge of structural design. This project was one of the first

international EPF projects at B&V. It provides for the design, fabrication

and delivery of flue gas desulphurization equipment for Units 5 through 8

at Taichung, Taiwan.

Suralaya Steam Power Plant, Jakarta, Indonesia - Wrote formal bid

evaluation and recommendation documents to be used by the World Bank for

financing.

IBM - San Jose, California - Project engineer leading the structural,

civil, mechanical, electrical and architectural disciplines. Developed the

design criteria and conceptual design of a chemical distribution pipe

trestle support structure. The system was approximately two miles in

length connecting several manufacturing buildings and spanning a major four

lane road. The pipe system was a pipe-in-pipe containment system designed

for three levels of seismic hazards and federal and state EPA regulations.

The project successfully withstood the rigors of third party peer review in

California.

General Motors Press Plant, Fairfax, Kansas - Designed the structural steel

and concrete press floors to resist 2000 psf floor loadings.

Supersonic Wind Tunnel - NASA Lewis Research Center, Cleveland, Ohio -

Created a three-dimensional FEA model of wind tunnel turning vane for

pressure and thermal loadings. Made the recommendations to the Managing

Partner for the purchase of the software and computer hardware used to

perform these studies.

Aberdeen Proving Grounds, Maryland - Created a three dimensional FEA model

of a proto type of a nuclear blast shock tube testing apparatus and then

performed stress analysis for final design.

Orlando Utilities, Orlando Florida - Design review of the turbine-generator

concrete pedestal, boiler ductwork and other buildings confirming quality

and conformance to the owner's project specifications, standards and local

codes.

Freudenberg Nonwovens - Durham, North Carolina - Established the design

criteria and lead the engineering team in the design of 180,000 square foot

manufacturing facility.

Lock & Dam 26, Alton, Illinois - Designed Lock facilities for Corps of

Engineers project.
