I was a certified lead assessor, executive coach, one of a handful of
primary executive educators, and a core facilitator/designer of talent
management and strategic design solutions. I managed multi-function teams
in the development, design, and delivery of fully integrated talent
management solutions for Fortune 500 and Global 1000 companies.
Additionally, as a team leader I provided leadership for a virtual team of
consultants, account executives, and an operations staff, with a focus on

December 2000 - October 2002: Regional Director, USAF, North Central

I provided leadership within a 7-state region to manage homeland defense
operations, emergency services, counter-drug operations, and aerospace
education programs with an organization of over 4000 Civil Air Patrol
members, hundreds of Air Force reservists, 10 liaison office state
directors and deputy directors, 6 liaison region staff members and numerous
federal, state, and local emergency responders. Additionally, I served as
an executive consultant and advisor to a senior leadership team and
national board members for the Civil Air Patrol, a non-profit corporation
and auxiliary to the Air Force.
January 1999 - December 2000: Deputy Department Head for Leadership
Programs and Assistant Professor in the Department of Behavioral Sciences
and Leadership at the Air Force Academy
I directed five divisions providing leadership and organizational
development programs for the Air Force Academy, the Air Force, the
Department of Defense, and other federal agencies. I was responsible for
the integration of academic and applied leadership training, guided
research on program evaluation, leadership training methodology, training
efficacy, and organizational development. Additionally I served as an
executive consultant providing leadership enrichment, team/group
development, and organizational change initiatives through a learning
framework. Services included off-site workshops, climate surveys, multi-
rater feedback, and mentoring/coaching, as well as broad-based
organizational development initiatives.
May - August 1999: Deputy Assistant to the Director of Operations for
Personnel and Manpower at the Joint Task Force, Riyadh, Kingdom of Saudi
Arabia
I was responsible for day-to-day operational talent management of a multi-
service, multiple location, combat operations unit. I ensured the review
and selection of skilled talent, the smooth flow of rotating personnel, and
the accomplishment of a weekly international operations and personnel
issues meeting.

I was the program director and supervisor for eight leadership and
organizational development programs addressing individual, team, and
organizational effectiveness issues. I provided supervision for five,
master's level consultants. Additionally I served as a senior consultant
providing leadership enrichment, team/group development, and organizational
change initiatives through a learning framework. Services included off-site

February 1982 - February 1992: Examiner/Instructor Pilot and Commander,
U.S. Air Force
I evaluated and instructed pilots from basic to international flight
operations and rescue/special-operations procedures, as well as leading
aircrews in worldwide flight operations. Additional duties included
executive officer to the commander and chief pilot of aircrew training and
evaluation.

Gregg F. Tanoff, Ph.D.
...serves as the Director for Leadership Development and Talent Management
for The SCOOTER Store, a home durable medical equipment company that
provides freedom and independence to people with limited mobility. Dr.
Tanoff joined The SCOOTER Store after seven years as an Executive
Consultant and Team Leader for the Michigan/Ohio/Toronto area with
Personnel Decisions International (PDI), an HR consulting firm focused on
the selection and development of leadership talent. Prior to his tenure
with PDI, he completed a 20-year career with the U.S. Air Force where he
was the Deputy Department Head for Leadership Programs in the Department of
Behavioral Sciences and Leadership at the Air Force Academy, as well as a
combat decorated pilot and commander for a seven-state homeland defense and
search and rescue organization. He obtained his Ph.D. in Counseling
Psychology at the University of Oregon and is a nationally certified and
licensed professional counselor in the state of Texas.
Dr. Tanoff has an extensive, education, facilitation, organizational
development, and talent management background. He has worked with a wide
array of Fortune 500 and Global 1000 organizations across a diverse
industry base, from energy, financial services, health care, manufacturing,
and retail, as well as government agencies, and institutions of higher
education. He specializes in executive/management assessment, education,
and coaching from a process consultation framework, grounded in
behaviorally based competency architectures. Additionally, he expertly
leads organizations in the design and implementation of full-scale talent
management solutions.
Dr. Tanoff is recognized for his ability to blend his real-world leadership
experiences with the principles of individual and organizational psychology
to help organizations increase their efficiency, effectiveness, and impact
through human capital initiatives that are aligned with business
strategies. He has completed professional presentations and publications on
leadership and personality, and his dissertation on job satisfaction and
personality garnered him the American Psychological Association's, Society
of Consulting Psychology, outstanding doctoral dissertation award for 2000.
