ElDeCo, Inc.* (Electrical Development Company) Senior Project Manager
Center for Arts and Academics; N. Charleston, SC. Electrical Project
Manager for $9.0 million state-funded school project. Our scope included
construction of nine separate buildings with a peak crew of 8
superintendents and 60 field employees under my direction.
Conway High School; Conway SC. Electrical Project Manager for $2.5 million
building additions and interior renovations. Our scope included electrical
power, lighting and fire alarm systems, including a complete facility fire
alarm upgrade.
Waccamaw Hospital; Murrells Inlet, SC. Electrical Project Manager for $2.0
million floor addition to existing hospital, Our scope included electrical
power and lighting and fire alarm, raceways for HVAC and hospital security
and safety systems.
Roper St. Francis Hospital; Charleston SC. Electrical Project Manager for
$3.0 million floor additions and interior renovations to operating
hospital. Our scope included electrical power and lighting and fire alarm,
raceways for HVAC and hospital security and safety systems. In addition the
fire alarm system for the existing facility required a complete upgrade.
Verizon Wireless; Charleston, SC. Electrical Project Manager for $700,000
addition to cell tower switching station. Our scope included all expansion
electrical power, lighting, fire alarm raceways and connections for process
equipment.
North Carolina Department of Corrections; Hookerton, NC. Electrical
Project Manager for an $8 million dollar 1,000 Cell, Close Security,
Grassroots Prison. This prison was a duplicate of the Taylorsville, NC
prison. The value increased due to inflation, but also as a result of being
awarded the precast rough in for the security contractor.
North Carolina Department of Corrections; Taylorsville, NC. Electrical
Project Manager for $6.5 million dollar 1,000 Cell, Close Security,
Grassroots Prison. This prison was over 95 percent precast concrete
requiring the electrical raceways and devices be roughed in off site at a
precasting factory. Our scope included all electrical power, lighting,
grounding, and emergency generators.
Clariant Chemicals; Holly Hill, NC. Electrical Project Manager for $7
million Grassroots Chemical Tower. Our initial scope of $3 million included
all electrical power, lighting, grounding, lightning protection and the
electrical portion of instrumentation. Due to the piping and calibration
instrumentation contractors' misunderstanding of the scope, I was able to
add a $4 million dollar 'time and material' contract to our work.
Alcatel Facility 7; Claremont, NC. Electrical Project Manager for $1.5
million dollar expansion to a fiber optics facility. I was specifically
requested for this project by the Client. Our scope included all building
electrical power, lighting, extensive grounding grids, and electrical and
instrumentation connections for process equipment.
Alcatel Facility 5A and 6; Claremont, NC. Electrical Project Manager for
$2.5 million dollar expansion to a fiber optics facility. Our scope
included all building electrical power, lighting, extensive grounding
grids, and electrical and instrumentation connections for process
equipment.
Philip Morris USA; Concord, NC. Electrical Project Manager for $250,000
wireway addition to an operating cigarette factory.
Proctor and Gamble; Greensboro, NC. Electrical Project Manager for $1
million building addition for a new toothpaste line. Our scope included all
expanded area electrical power, lighting, and connections made ready for
process equipment connections.
Cobb-Vantress; Wadesboro, NC. Electrical Project Manager for $650,000
chicken hatchery. Our scope included electrical power, lighting and
instrumentation for building, as well as separate systems for the actual
hatchery.
Duke Engineering-White Street Anaerobic Facility; Greensboro, NC.
Electrical Project Manager for $250,000 prototype for conversion of plant
clippings to captured methane gas. Our scope included electrical power,
lighting, instrumentation and lightning protection.
National Starch; Salisbury, NC. Electrical Project Manager for a $350,000
line addition to an operating chemical process facility. Our scope included
electrical power, lighting, instrumentation and heat tracing.

Cationic Monomer Process; CIBA Specialty Chemical; West Memphis, Arkansas,
USA
Construction Manager for the $50 million expansion of a Chemical Producing
Facility for CIBA Specialty Chemicals, Inc. Responsibilities included
management of all phases of a construction project, including site
mobilization, contract preparation, cost control, budget controls, and
document controls. Assumed direct supervision of nine construction
engineers and support personnel, and indirect supervision of approximately
15 sub-contractors. Peak manpower for this project was 250 employees.
Sterling; Freightliner Trucks; St. Thomas, Ontario, Canada
Construction Consultant for the plant expansion and retooling of existing
production lines for the manufacture of a new brand of trucks by
Freightliner. Provided input in all areas of project. Strong emphasis on
cost control and scheduling issues.
Malaysia Expansion Project; Philip Morris Malaysia; Seremban, Negri
Sembilan, Malaysia
Construction Manager for the $110 million expansion of Tobacco Processing
Facilities for Philip Morris Malaysia. Assumed supervision of a staff of
15, most of whom were inexperienced in construction management.
Cabarrus Expansion Project; Philip Morris USA; Concord, North Carolina
Construction Engineer (Lead electrical/instrumentation) for the $400
million expansion of Tobacco Processing Facilities for Philip Morris USA.
1996 MVP Award Recipient.
Food Processing Facility Project; Pillsbury; Wellston, Ohio
Construction Engineer IV (electrical/HVAC) for the $100 million expansion
of Food Processing Facility for Pillsbury. Responsibilities included
managing electrical, instrumentation and HVAC contracts.
Bermuda Project; Philip Morris USA; Hopewell, Virginia
Contract Engineer II (electrical) for the $180 million Construction
Management of the prototype Tobacco Processing Facility for Philip Morris
USA. Experience in developing and administering major power and control
contracts, acting as a liaison between engineering and contractors.
Assisted other project engineers in the overall coordination of contracts
and related work activities. In addition to assigned job duties, I assumed
all duties of Lead Electrical in his absence.
Estimator on prototype Tobacco Processing Facility project for Philip
Morris USA. Duties included coordination, preparing and summarizing
estimates for electrical, slab on grade, elevated slabs, siding, HVAC,
structural steel and site work.

Construction Engineer (electrical/instrumentation), with specific duties
including coordination with Fluor Daniel disciplines to define and detail
un-scoped demolition, restoration, and addition of explosion/burn-damaged
