annual spend through coordination with the core supply base

prototype drawing / RFQ issue, and blocked invoice

Achievements:

. Initiated groundwork on sourcing strategy with the ultimate

goal of increasing purchasing leverage through the

introduction of new competition to the electrical wire

harness / box supply base.

- Conducted comprehensive analysis of global automotive

wire harness / box market with high level goal of

identifying a new supplier suitable for potential

partnership with Honda of America.

- Classified over $650 million of annual spend on all

prototype / mass production vehicles to gain complete

understanding of the opportunity that exists for

additional competition in Honda's North American model

mix.

- Identified new potential supply partner for all 2013

models and joined Honda R&D Americas, Inc. in travelling

to Mexico, Japan and China to conduct quality audits of

the candidate's primary production facilities.

. Achieved 0% gap / merit to design target cost for all Honda

/ Acura models currently under development by R&D offices

in both North America and Japan.

- Conducted effective negotiation with supply base /

design engineers for 12 prototype cost events and 6 mass

production startup events across 13 Honda / Acura

models.

- Assumed lead negotiator role for North American wire

harness / box carsets on prototype Honda Accord / CR-V

and Acura TL models.

. Attained 1.5% cost down commitment from core supply base

for 2009 and 2010 fiscal years in spite of global economic

recession.

excess of $11 million.

improving existing procurement process efficiency.

Achievements:

. Developed first of its kind sourcing strategy that involved

the systematic analysis / classification of over $40

million of annual indirect spend and the creation of

sourcing groups to maximize cost leverage for all future

spend.

- Negotiated long and short term agreements with global

manufacturing firms by successfully leveraging annual

spend across multiple production facilities.

- Gained consensus from top management in 16 end using

departments to facilitate a smooth implementation

process.

- Primary benefit to the organization was an improved cost

position coupled with a streamlined supply base.

- Strategy was utilized as benchmark for all future

commodity strategies in the Procurement Group.

partner and Auto Paint Dept. engineers to eliminate the

need for 2 additional robots by reprogramming the

current assembly line. Total cost savings achieved was

$400,000.

- Major project that involved working with Auto Stamping

Dept. maintenance engineers during new assembly plant

startup to identify and resource all commercially

available spare parts for 2 custom industrial presses.

Total cost avoidance achieved was well over $225,000.

. Performed extensive economic trend analysis to effectively

mitigate price increases from various production tooling

manufacturers due to instability in currency exchange rate

and raw material markets.
