tracked construction trainee's time for
wage increases and completion of training. Supervised and directed daily
activities of
field personnel and coordinated additional manpower needed for larger
concrete pours.
Field work included monitoring of traffic control, inspected construction
of detour,
defined and inspected traffic control for lane closures including temporary
traffic signals, placement of concrete barrier, project signing, and
pavement marking. Inspected site
preparation, demolition of existing structure, compaction of fill,
excavation of drilled
shafts, footings and abutments. Inspected installation of storm water pipe,
drainage inlets,
manholes and flap gates. Inspected the drifting, fit-up and erection of
steel girders.
Established "turn of nut" requirements using DTI's for bolting of the
girder splices.
Checked placement of reinforcing steel and inspected forms and falsework
used in the construction of the sub-structure and super-structure. Observed
concrete placement and
ran field tests. Inspected placement of bituminous pavement, full depth and
overlay.
Monitored compliance with EPA requirements, general and project specific.
Inspected installation of several types of erosion control. Inspected and
monitored use of silt barrier
used around construction area in the river. Inspected temporary and
permanent seeding of project. Inspected permanent traffic control pavement
marking and sign placement.

that has been invaluable in my work as a Quality Control and Project
Manager.
