CAREER OBJECTIVE
Seeking a position with a successful company that will provide a
challenging but rewarding opportunity to significantly contribute to its
efficiency, organization, growth and profitability.
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
The Weitz Company; Omaha, Nebraska 8/08 - 11/08
Project Safety Manager - Interim Position
$330 million project
Eriksen Construction Company; Blair, Nebraska 5/2000
- 5/08
Safety Director for 6 construction based companies and a motel owned by
Eriksen Investments.
Position eliminated due to the downturn in the construction industry.
While working at Eriksen Construction Company there was no safety program,
policies or procedures that were being enforced. Employees went to work and
some might wear their PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) or not,
housekeeping needed improvement, and there were many other violations.
After spending time talking and working with employees and management I
presented to the company a detailed safety program for the construction
company. At this time I started enforcing all safety programs, policies and
procedures at the job sites. Some of the employees were not in favor of the
enforcement of safety at the job site but we worked together as a team to
get this accomplished.
. With the implementation of the safety programs we had a job site
that was safer for the employee and the company we had improved
housekeeping at all job sites.
. The safety program was started with the construction company and
management asks to have a safety program written for each of the
other companies under the Eriksen Investment umbrella. These
companies consist of an electric company, welding company, a
plumbing company, an excavation company and a motel.
. When the safety programs for the companies were in place, we worked
together to improve the safety programs, employee safety, company
safety and housekeeping.

grain processing companies such as grain facilities for Peavey Grain,
edible beans plants with Klein Berger & Company and all the flour mills for
the ConAgra Flour Milling Companies in the United States, Canada and Puerto
Rico.
. Improved the attitudes and the way of thinking about safety for the
employees and the company with training and talking with employees.
. Stressed the importance of how to work safely and walked through
the facilities to keep a watch for any and all safety issues.
. ConAgra Grain Process was given a refund check from the insurance
company in the amount of $50,000.00 each year that I completed the
safety inspections.
