Asmara City Project
. Played key role as GIS specialist in the preparation of geological map
of Asmara city in 2006 (team leader: Dr Mengist Teklay); which helped
develop infrastructure and understand geology of the rapidly growing
capital city
. Collected data via GPS, compass and field observation; Geo-referenced
geological maps & retrieved field data, digitized maps, designed geo-
database, analyzed spatial data, visualized 3D, prepared metadata and
created maps in ArcGIS 9.1; imported geographic data from different
sources to ArcGIS
. Extracted geo-information after co-registering, mosaicing (combining)
and enhancing satellite images in ERDAS 8.1
Red Sea Coast of Eritrea Project
. Carried out field geological investigation of Asfet archaeological
site in the Red Sea Coast of Eritrea

. Extracted geo-information from satellite images, which include geo-
referencing topographic maps & retrieval of field data, designing geo-

Barentu Town Project
. Carried out hydro-geological Investigation (pumping test of the water
wells and field data collection) of Barentu town, western Eritrea, in
2004 & 2005 (team leader: Prof. Thomas Kreuser)
. Result was presented orally and in paper to the decision makers that
included the governor; study contributed to the improvement of ground
water extraction in the town
Geologist October 2000 -

. Conducted team geological surveys in different parts of Eritrea and
