the requirements of The Joint Commission (formerly known as JCAHO) in
the specific area known as the Management of the Environment of Care.

Care. Assured the hospital's compliance with requirements of the Joint
Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations, the Agency for
Healthcare Administration and OSHA in the physical and plant environment.
Functioned as the hospital's representative to the Manatee County Emergency
Operations Center, particularly through the 4-hurricane season in 2004.
Lead contact for the hospital in two-county disaster drill (a plane crash
at Sarasota/Bradenton airport.)

Environment of Care Manager for the organization. Created and
implemented a 7-tiered program to manage conditions in the physical
environment. Tiers included safety, security, life safety, hazardous
materials and wastes, emergency and disaster preparation, management
of
utilities and management of medical equipment. Designed and
presented a New Employee Orientation for management of the Environment
of Care.
