ViveBio is a class II medical device manufacturer of a blood sample

transport and storage device.

Operations Management Consultant

Developed and transferred manufacturing process from pilot lab to

manufacturing site without interruption to manufacturing. Increased

production output by 20 times the pilot lab output.

. Developed and successfully implemented Standard Operating Procedures

for Quality, manufacturing, shipping and receiving and purchasing.

. Managed ongoing project to design new manufacturing site by working

closely with architect, clean room manufacturers and mechanical

engineers.

SAP super user, construction project manager, principal team member of

team member of technology transfer from Germany to Atlanta.

identified lower performing machines / personnel therefore focusing

over 1 billion contact lenses up from 700 million over a 15-month

period.

Managed a production team consisting of 25 employees utilizing coaching and

leadership skills in the manufacture of molded parts to be sent to Batam,

types (spherical, toric and progressive contact lenses).

. Initiated and lead Team Leaders' (peer group) monthly meetings. This

meeting successfully improved communication between shifts.

1998 - 2001

Managed two production teams and the equipment service's team with a total

of 45 employees covering all three-week day shifts utilizing coaching and

leadership skills. Maintained good employee relations with timely and open

communication. Responsibilities included hiring Equipment Services

mechanics and production technicians.

. Managed, motivated and led teams through a downsizing while

maintaining quality and productivity goals. Production teams averaged

above 115% for efficiency in 2000 and 2001.

. Lead weekly Team Leader's meeting - reviewed productivity and quality

indicators (dashboard) and implemented plans to correct negative

trends. Improved Ciba Soft yield from 68% in 1997 to 79.5% in 2000.

. Oversaw all aspects of Ciba Soft production from molding through QA

records. Responsibilities included quality, productivity, and cost

reduction. Lowered total unit product cost by $0.17.

. Decreased back orders to less than 500 total for 2000 and managed

TearSoft made to order product with zero late orders for 2000 and

2001.

. Reduced minor repair by 50% through training and educating production

technicians on how to recognize and make those repairs. Equipment

Services partnered with production teams to improve quality and

efficiency.

. Equipment services team reduced overdue PM's from 23.6% in 1999 to

7.5% in 2000.

. Lowered cost by reducing supply usage and lowering spare parts

inventory to realistic levels.
