Completely updated local HR function and bought into compliance.
Launched innovative change management procedures improving site

Leidy's Inc., Souderton Pa. (6 years)
$65 Million Dollar privately held pork operation including, livestock,
processing
and retail operations.
Director of Human Resources
Reported to the President and was a member of the executive staff with an
annual
budget of 2.5 million and a staff of four direct reports. Responsible for
all
Human Resources and Safety functions and there contribution to P&L.
Updated and brought HR department into compliance and redirected the
department
to act as a strategic partner to operations.
Introduced hiring and retention processes to upgrade new hires and reduce
turnover by 80%.
Revitalized safety program reducing accidents by 250% and workers comp from

$900,000 to below $100,000 in premium.

Human Resources Manager

member of local operations leadership team. The site consisted of two
manufacturing facilities and a warehouse facility that had 270 employees.
Reduced turnover to an average of 1% per month.
Redesigned employee handbook and new employee orientation program.
Produced a lost time accident rate that went over 450 days without an
accident.
Opened new operation in Baltimore, Maryland.
Successfully closed the Mt. Bethel, Pa operation.
Superintendent of Shape Manufacturing
Reported to the Director of Operations and was responsible for the entire
sink,
sample and specialty shape operation which consisted of 5 departments and

100 employees in a three shift operation.
Tripled production levels and lowered production cost per pound by 30 %.

disability plans, executive plans and 401K plans.
Put together a marketing plan and successfully brought to market a short
term
medical plan.

Reported to Sales Manager of Central Region selling and servicing accounts
