Duties: I was responsible for enforcing the law and
protecting Air Force and government property. I responded to
domestic disturbances, underage drinking, DUI/DWIs and
alarmed facilities. I performed 100% ID checks and directed
traffic. I was certified to work the main gate and received
certifications in the following: Radar Certified, CPR
Certified, and ASP Certified. I have been trained and
certified to use the following weapons/guns: M-9, M-16, M-249
Machine gun and the M-60 Machine gun. I was responsible for
protecting Air Force's high assets and protected transient
aircrafts. I assisted in setting up cordons and barriers for
protection of facilities and personnel. I preformed duties as
a flight line Security Response Force member and Installation
Entry Controller. Detected and reported unusual incidents and
emergencies to the Security Forces desk. Provided immediate
armed response to alarms and suspected/actual hostile events.
Inspected physical security aids and corrected discrepancies.
Implemented stringent normal/emergency entry control
procedures to monitor the entry to and exit of authorized
personnel to protection level 1, 2, and 3 resources. Ensures
personnel possess the proper credentials to access the
installation, implements anti-robbery and duress procedures,
directed vehicle and pedestrians traffic, and is responsible
for controlling the entrance to and monitoring the exit from
an area over 4,500 acres serving a community population in
excess of 15,000 persons. Overall performances are key to the
day-to-day security of over $4.5 billion worth of assigned
resources.
