Managed the MK7 Arresting Gear systems overhaul totaling over 1,000,000.00. Complete

overhaul ahead of schedule while saving the Navy over $200,000.00 in manhours. Coordinate

appropriate interface with lead engineers, project managers and the facility manager to assure

scheduled events task are accomplished on time. Authorize the procurement, inventory and

accountability of spare parts, and tools for aircraft launch and recovery equipment. Prepare data

logs, maintenance publications and equipment records. Maintain custody records and screening

of defective components for repair. Disassemble, replace defective parts, inspect, test, adjust and

reassembles catapult/arresting gear engines systems.

Operate / maintain hydraulic steam catapult and arresting gear. Repack packing, seals and test

operation of all systems. Inspect dynamic testing of cables fittings and wire rope sockets. Managed

the Quality Assurance Program ensuring the control of all critical Aircraft launch

and Recovery equipment maintenance actions. Divisional Safety Officer Responsible for the safe

operations of all Catapult launches and Arresting Gear Recoveries. Troubleshoot, analyzed,

replaced and tested mechanical, hydraulic and control systems components for aircraft launch and

recovery equipment. Disassemble, replaces defective parts and reassemble catapults and arresting

gear systems. Prepare data for equipment logs, supervises the filing and maintenance of

publications and records. Screened defective components for repair, inspects and evaluated

operation of repaired equipment. Monitors Quality assurance program, prepares quarterly schedule

of preventive maintenance. Supervised inventory of spare parts and equipment. Divisional Safety

Officer Responsible for the safe operations of all Catapult launches and Arresting Gear Recoveries.

Maintain technical library ensuring all manuals meet the safety standards for safe aircraft launch and

recovery operations.
