. Plant engineer: supervisor of 9 maintenance employees, a designer and
a process engineer
. As a process engineer: management and design of equipment to run new
product lines and upgrade existing product lines

management and development of energy consumption and reduction

Inspections and Auditing
. Oversight and conducting of hazardous waste, air quality and storm
water inspections and auditing of 6 plants to ensure that
environmental requirements are met
. Auditor and facilitator for EMS system known as EFEC (Enhancing
Furniture's Environmental Culture), an environmental management
program that promotes recycling and consumption reduction that is
designed to reduce the environmental foot print of the company and
meet or exceed the environmental regulatory requirements
. Worked with the safety director on OSHA inspections and modifications
to equipment to meet OSHA requirement as necessary, and did the ARC
flash calculations of electric systems per proposed OSHA regulatory
requirements
Communication
. Developed, worked up, submitted Title V permits, and did all
subsequent modification to the permits for 5 plants
. Submitted all environmental reports for Title V plants, air emission
inventory, TRI 2,
Air Toxic, Compliance certifications, biannual hazardous
waste reporting, storm
water requirements, and other communications regarding
violations or questions
posed by the State or EPA.
. Purchase of equipment and instrumentation to meet and monitor
environmental requirements and production needs
. Worked on a team with the AHFA (American Home Furnishing Alliance) the
State and EPA to write regulations for air quality, hazardous
waste and storm water that
would meet the requirements of the regulatory agencies and
the furniture industry.
. Participated in arbitrations with our attorney and the state to work
out a solution and to avoid or reduce fines and penalties on NOVs
(Notices of Violation) at the plants.
