Implement new vendors using GENTRAN on Windows NT platform for an Internet
company specializing in real-estate management companies. Create EDI
specifications and trading partner application layout. Review them with
vendors. Write FTP scripts and DOS Batch files to transport orders placed
on the web into Oracle system. Receive outgoing files from Oracle gateway
and either creates EDI ANSI standard documents or write directly to a
vendor's database. Create real time environment by interfacing GENTRAN
with Sterling Commerce Network and IIN via the Internet. Incoming
documents are translated into Oracle format and imported into Oracle.
Create printable copies of all transactions for accounting department using
GENTRAN Forms. Set up archiving within GENTRAN and externally using DOS
scripts. Some orders are also placed through the Ariba Network. These
orders are in an XML format that needs to be fed into Oracle.

Contract at Buyers Logistics a Division of Sealand. Migrate EDI maps of
ANSI standard documents from Mainframe GENTRAN to Harbinger TLE. Write any
necessary FTP scripts and Unix korn shells to handle special processing of
invoices, purchase orders and ship notices. Convert EDI maps to the format
handled by our Y2K compliant software package called SeaBlocks that
utilizes an SQL database. Monitor all production transmission jobs that
relate to the ocean freight business. Conduct full implementation cycle
for new and existing trading partners. Create shipping documents such as
booking, bill of lading, container manifest, and shipping. Backup person
to the system that emails reports and EDI documents (ANSI and proprietary)
to customers.

Working from remote site to create EDI maps of ANSI standard documents for
clients located throughout the United States. Function as a help desk
technical person to answer questions concerning all facets of EDI from
simple setups to complex translator mappings. EDI translations were

For the client's order fulfillment system I performed design, analysis,
mapping, and testing of EDI ANSI standard documents that are both sent and
received by SAP. Identify modifications to SAP's IDOCs. Migrate EDI
mappings and trading partnerships from Mainframe GENTRAN to Mentor. For
the client's purchasing department I upgraded purchase orders and purchase
order changes from IDOC version 2.2 to version 3.0. Designed procurement's
Advance Ship Notices and Purchase Order Acknowledgments, and wrote the
specifications that were sent to the customers.
BORDEN, INC., Columbus, Ohio
Lead EDI Systems Analyst - August 1990 to October 1996
Perform both supervisory and project manager roles. Expand EDI support,
map new EDI ANSI standard documents and write EDI specific programs. Write
DCL command files to aid in any special processing of EDI documents.
Interface EDI system to Sterling Commerce Network and GEIS using lease
lines. Handle EDI for both domestic and Canadian companies: Chemical,
Automotive, Pasta and Sauces, Snacks, and Niche Grocery. Design new
systems and optimize existing ones. Worked with the SAP IS staff on
integrating EDI. Review software packages and bar coding equipment.
Install bar coding equipment in our warehouses and train personnel on their
use. Work with warehouse personnel in the best way to process Ship Notices
(ASNs). Monitor daily processes on VAXs and PCs. Act as liaison between
appropriate Account Representatives and the trading partners (Customers,
Vendors, Brokers, and Carriers). Calculate and bill Borden businesses for
both their VAN and E-Mail costs. Began the migration of EDI maps from EDI
Windows to GENTRAN Director Pro.

upper management on their status. Wrote proposals to clients for software

EDI system for Borden, Inc.'s Chemical Division that consisted of an EDI
translator that could handle ANSI standard documents and the creation of
