Summary

ENGINEERING PRODUCT DESIGN GRADUATE WITH HONORS, FROM ASTON UNIVERSITY,

BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND. INTERESTED IN PURSUING MY CAREER IN THE ENGINEERING

FIELD. RELOCATED TO THE U.S. IN 2004 AND GAINED U.S RESIDENCY.

Education

2000 - 2004 ASTON UNIVERSITY, BIRMINGHAM, ENGLAND

B.Sc. in Engineering Product Design, Graduated with Honors

1998 - 2000 King Edward VI School, Lichfield, England

College preparatory education -A Levels

Employment

USA

2008 - 2010 Schlumberger Oilfield Services, Cleburne TX (Field

Engineer)

This Field Engineer position was in the Well Services Segment of the

Oilfield Industry (Cementing specifically). Between office and field work,

this was a well rounded, both thrilling and challenging experience. Office

duties included conversing with company representatives to design and bid

for cement jobs (using CemCADE and Wellbook). Field work involved carrying

out cement jobs -operating equipment and treating the cement procedure on

location (using WRS3, FTL and CemCAT).

Another position held here was the Loss Prevention Team Leader -focusing on

QHSE. This role broadened my role in the company, and involved completing

Accident Investigations and QHSE Compliance Audits for the district.

Throughout my time here, intense training courses were completed in

Cementing, Reservoir Engineering, QHSE, Loss Prevention, Crash Free Driving

and many others.

2004 - 2007 Relocated to Miami Beach, FL - granted US residency Oct 30 2007

UK

2002 - 2003 Calor Gas, Warwick, England (Undergraduate Engineer)

Internship; This placement position of my degree was an Undergraduate

Engineer assigned to various problem solving and cost analysis projects. A

significant amount of time was spent designing in AutoCAD 2002. Key

projects undertaken were as follows:

Ultrasonic System -Designed and implemented gas tank measurement systems to

optimize gas delivery schedules. Prior to implementation, tank gas levels

were unknown resulting in partial deliveries of gas when truck capacities

exceeded tank requirements. After implementation, the required deliveries

were reduced from 1,770 to 811 per year. Resultant savings were

approximately $100,000.00

Gas Recovery System redesign - Redesigned a pump line system to increase

pump efficiency. By realigning the system at a cost of approximately

$7,000.00, this resulted in a cost avoidance of $70,000.00 to replace the

existing pump.

Breakaway Coupling -Redesigned and reoriented trailer couplings to minimize

risk of structural failure and gas release. This design had a great impact

on the company, due to the fact that a failure and its coupling could

ignite the LPG and cause loss of life.

I also completed the first year of the 4-year "Monitored Professional

Development Scheme", which leads to chartered status through the Institute

of Mechanical Engineers.

1999 Youngs Design, Four Oaks, England (Graphic Designer)

Graphic Designer; Participated in the design and illustration of an

Elementary Piano Teaching Guide for Children. The brochure was subsequently

approved for production.

Assisted in the production of construction documents.
